Hi Friends!
Remember the very funny black actor who played "Big Eddie" from the "Macho Man" ep.? He & John were very Good Friends! He also acted in John's other show "Hooperman", and acted as one of John's teammate buddies in the 1980 tv movie "The Comeback Kid"! Sadly, Mr. Gist died in Sept. 29, 1991. He was only a year older than John! His last acting role happened to be in 1990's tv movie "Dreamer of Oz" starring John!

Yeah I remember him! He is one of my favorite guest stars! He was really funny in that episode! His facial expressions were hilarious.
I didn't know that he was a year younger than John and that he died in 1991. That's really sad, he was a funny actor.

I agree with you that his facial expressions were really funny in that episode!
Rod Gist was 1 year older than John but it's really sad that he died young too like John. In the 1980's "Hooperman" board, you can see Rod Gist pictured with John on the main "Hooperman" photo! I wrote on your guestbook to your site for John! You made a really Great site for John! Keep up the Great Work!
