I'm not a big fan of instrumentals, since I have trouble identifying tones and beats well (maybe that is why I like NIN so much, because I can hear everything well)
At any rate, my favorite instrumental of all time is Just Like You Imagined by Nine Inch Nails, without contest imo et toi? |

Way too many great pieces to mention. My 2 favorites however are:
Summer Madness by Kool & The Gang & Rain Forest by Paul Hardcastle Both are considered funk-jazz classics & have been staples on both R&B & Jazz radio stations for years. |

I know this will give you all a big laugh, but my favorite intrumental of all time is actually the theme to the film Chariots Of Fire. The reason behind this is that song was huge when I was in Kindergarden and in late May when we had Field Day there was a race between all the girls and boys in both A.M. classes and the gym teacher played the theme to Chariots of Fire on a ghetto blaster. I won the race!

Green Onions -- Music doesn't get more perfectly simple than that.
Wipeout is pretty good, also.
