Default Something else i found out about John Amos in regards to him missing episodes

I was talking to my Aunt and she was saying that she read in a Jet Magazine that when the Producers gave J.J the chicken delivering job, John Amos was so FED UP when they made J.J walk around with that Chicken on Top of his head. You would think that Jimmie Walker would have had something to say about that chicken Hat too. But I guess he was a Goofball in real life.

I thought it made JJ more obnoxious; with this goofy looking hat with a chicken that bounced around

He probably did so the show would be more about the Family rather than being all about GOOFY J.J

What a boring show it would have been. That's why he got fired.

He was fired because he revealed to a Ebony Magazine reporter about the backstage fights that was gong on between producers and cast members

How can you like Good Times and not like the father? It's like saying "you like the Jeffersons, but you hate George".

It was his attitude about the whole show. He wanted to be boss, but he wasn't.

It's called having an individual opinion. Everyone should try it sometimes.

Did you know that that O'Connor almost suffered the same fate as AMOS??

He became unruly on how his character should be played much the same as Amos. He didn't want the writers mellowing out Archie. He wanted to play it his way or no way.

And the idea came up that they might have just killed off Archie.

Can you imagine what would have became of that show then?

Amos obviously did not have the same clout..While O"Connor was the star (BY FAR) on AITF. Jimmy Walker was the star on Good Times!!

Jimmy was considered the star because of how he LOOKED. Amos was considered the star because of his acting. Amos was the star to me.
