Default Those school book threats

Remember in school, in a class if you were assigned the book you had to return it at the end of the year? And remember how they told you that if you dont, you will have to cough up the money to replace them? They enforced that rule so badly.. but did they ever go through with it? Sophomore year I had about.. 10 books and I brought them back my senior year like, 3 days before I graduated. Meangya, I still have about 7 or 8 books from school that I was supposed to replace. I never got a bill for any of them. Anyone ever get a bill?

last year i had to pay $2 for my biology book. she just looked at the damn thing and said i owe a fine. i didn't even do anything, it was in good condition. i also made marks in my math book with a uniball pen (they're really inky) without realizing it but i didnt tell her so haha.

and my brother is a junior and still has his math book from like 7th grade, i guess the principal never noticed it gone. he also has a lot of the library books from there.

lol we read Great Expectations this year and right on the day we had to give it back I couldn't find it so I asked her if I could go to my locker and it wasn't there but she didn't even notice when I came back that I didn't hand it in. Yippee.

Maybe I did hand it in, though...I honestly don't know what happened that day. The book was with me everyday and them POOF. So maybe I handed it in without realizing it because I'm that dumb and stuffiez.

Nope, thank God...But I've come very close to losing my textbooks...and once, I nearly ruined one of my books w/ cake frosting (don't ask...long story).

I love it when stuff like that happens. in 8th grade i didn't do my homework, and someone turned theirs in with no name on it so the teacher asked me if it was mine and i yes and got credit for it. it's also very relieving once you know you've pulled it off.

I have this awful conscious though so if she asked me I would've said I didn't have it. But she was kinda ditzey and I'm almost postive she'd just laugh and go "K!"

If we didn't return the books or pay for them, we wouldn't get our report cards.

They were pretty strict about that when I was in school. The closer we got to the due date, the more reminders they'd hand out. I never had to worry about paying any money, though I came very close my senior year.

Never had a textbook fine. Funny remembering when you didn't buy your school books...

As for the HS library...I don't think I ever checked out a book from there. College yes. HS...I think it might have had books...
