Can anyone tell me if the unaired pilot of ALF on the DVD is any less quality than the rest of the episodes? It seems that the un-aired pilot would be from the same sources as the original "less quality" uncut episodes because the unaired pilot was not syndicated. Therefore if the quality on the un-aired pilot is decent or as good as the rest of the syndicated edited episodes, then they could have used all the original episodes (uncut).

I don't think it's any less quality than the other eps. It's not too different than the actual pilot though. The cast members are the same and everything, but there is an additional part of the plot about Willie not letting Lynn drive the car and some of the jokes are different and I think they had a different actory play the alien task force guy. Other than that, they aren't too far apart.

One thing that I found interesting on the unaired pilot was the different "ALF" logo that appeared onscreen at the end of the theme song. It was kinda..."80s electronics". OK, that might not make much sense, but if you've seen it, you may know what I mean...or not.
