Thumbs down Jack probably let Mr. Furley DIE of a Broken Heart ( in the final episode)

I just watched the Final Episode of 3's Company last night.. (now I am talking about the 3rd of 3.. when Jack ,Teri & Janet turn off the light and say goodbye)

* That is the MOST discusting Last Episode, I have ever seen : YOU can see all those years of the Old Guys that Produce the show ( screwing & back stabbing everyone).. where they treated Suzanne Summers really bad.. ALL CAME OUT in the Last Episode, YOU can see Teri & Janet's Scenes were (cut) together.. there was a million cuts.. also They BOTH were really Crying all through out the show!!! You can see Teri(Priscilla Barnes) was really Teary Eyed, through the whole last episode.. even when it was supposed to be "Happy/Funny" lines.. Janet & Teri were crying ..& as for JANET (Joyce Dewitt) she could Barely hold it together..

* There were REAL EMOTION on the screen there.. ( we do know for sure from The E! True Hollywood Story. that it was really hard for Janet & Teri.. because they were BOTH screwed and not told with much noticed that they were basically FIRED)..

** BUT Please watch the last few scenes between Janet, Teri, Jack & Mr. Furley..

* Priscilla is really really crying ( you can see both her and Joyce were upset all day on the set)

* Joyce couldn't even say her last line.. she is SO Broken UP .. ( she was supposed to say a line.. but she just couldn't get it out.. she just Mumbled her line.. then turned away and picked up her Box which was on the chair.. ( YOU can see she really LOST IT here.. after she picked up the Box, they "cut" .. then "started" the scene with a close up)..THIS SCENE IS SO SAD.
JOYCE DEWITT GOT REALLY SCREWED!!!!

* Mr. Furley ( Don Knotts).. if YOU watch, He is very Sad and his eyes are very watery too.. & WHEN he HUGS Janet.. you can see Don Knotts lower lip quivers.. ( he looks like he was going to cry..through ALL the scenes with Janet ) and then at that moment .. they "Cut"..also.

NOW to HOW I feel how Jack Killed Mr. Furley: If YOU watch Don Knotts last Scene.. he looks at all 3 of the kids.. then turns around..walks to the door way, THEN JUST STOPS.. (NEVER looks back)..looks only ahead.. PAUSES.. then walks out of the door way.

( I feel Mr. Furley would have NO real Life.. he has said Jack was his son he never had..WHAT WOULD Mr. Furley DO???? He would have just walked down the stairs to his Apartment .. and JUST SIT in there.. looking at the wall... probably Cried.. thinking of all the good times he had with "the Kids".. BUT really nothing else.. HE didn't have much of a life outside of them.. they were his life.. I feel all Mr. Furley would have done.. is sit there.. looking at the wall.. SAD & Crying.. once and awhile leave his apartment to fix someone's apartment (plumbing, lights, ect.) collect the rent.. & then just Sadly & Slowly walk back to his Apartment.. I FEEL RALPH FURLEY WOULD HAVE DIED A LONEY MAN after Jack LEFT!!!!!!

* If you watch the Show CLOSELY, Jack SAYS he ONLY is Going to LIVE about 1 Mile away ( to Larry in last episode)!!!! Just think WE never see Mr. Furley going to Jack's Resturant ( Jack NEVER invites him).. ( in 3's A Crowd you NEVER SEE or Hear Jack Bring up Ralph Furley)..

HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE 1 MILE AWAY.. and a guy (Jack) NEVER Visits,Calls, or Asks you to meet or see his "New Life" " New Love"????

Mr. Furley Would have DIED with a "Broken Heart"!!!!

* Mr. Furley HELPED Jack pay the Rent to his Resturant, a few times!! and now he doesn't even visit him??? Thats pretty sick!

* Also In (Don Knotts) final scene with (John Ritter).. Mr. Furley was starting to say to Jack .." Jack if you ever get lonely or need a friend" AND AT THIS POINT JACK CUTS HIM OFF, and changes the subject into how he is not gay anymore..and he is living with someone.. ( so basically mr. furley was about to say to jack , hey I want to visit you.. BUT jack cuts him off and says more or less I have a women now.. so don't bother..) it is kinda sad how mr. furley just kinda drops his idea/thought..

* IF YOU watch that whole last 3 final Episodes of 3's Company... John Ritter doesn't act like "Jack Tripper".. He acts cold.. and ( in real life knows he has the Spin-Off 3's a crowd, waiting for HIM and ONLY him)..I feel these are the ONLY episodes .. the fianl 3.. where it doesn't look/act like Jack Tripper..( the caring, sweet, nice, cool & funny guy he was) He acted more serious, and "change" Jack into an "Adult" (John & the Producers really destory the "Jack Tripper Character" in the Final 3 episodes of 3's Company & ALL of 3's A Crowd..

* The Producers & John Ritter really did a discusting thing here to these actors who worked on that show for 7 years ( E! True Hollywood Story explain allot of it)

BUT

YOU can REALLY SEE the Tension between ALL the Actors in that Final Episode of 3's Company!

YOU know that Honest thing is Jack Tripper is my Favorite Character EVER in TV History & actually my Idol!! I LOVE THE show, ( and actually when I am watching it from episode 1 to 174 I LOVE THE SHOW) It's just the last 3 are sooooo different. The last 3 episodes show us what was really going on as for the tension between the Producers/John Ritter, The New actors for 3's a Crowd.. ALL Against the OLD ACTORS from Three's Company.

I guess no one has a different opinon on the last episode..

thats kinda surprising..

I know mine with jack and mr furley dieing a lonely man, might be only my opinon.

BUT
what does everyone think about the MOOD of the cast ( the cast being fired).. and the whole odd tension.

has anyone watch the last one recently??

* If so tell us what you think.

Do you kow when the last episode will be airing again? I really wanna see Janet and Terri like that. I cried so hard at the last 10 minutes of the episode. The biggest reason is that i thought Jack and Janet should have gouuted Married!

I totally agree.. I feel janet and jack should have gotten married and that should have been the spin-off

hey, they got a "fake" janet in Vicki Bradford?????

she sucked!

I think they are pretty close to the end of the series.. so keep watching!! it shouldn't be very long

take care

Talking

Actualy, Jack was still his zany funny clumbsy self in part one of the 3 part last episodes. He was falling all over, running into people, knocking over pictures, getting locked in bathrooms etc....Hillerious.

But the last 2 are terrible. They are very sad and very very disapointing. I was thinking the same thing when Jack and Furley said goodbye to eachother.
The saddest part was when they all took a final look at the apartment then shut the light and left for good.

Well I am happy John "fixed" the relationship between Furley & Jack in 8 Simple Rules!

It is nice that I dont have the bitter taste in my mouth anymore on how Mr Furley left the kid's apartment in the last Three's Company Episode

To bad Suzanne did that she always does and thinks of money before The History of a Show people love. She was asked to do the 8 Simple Rules show, she was on the fence, then said yes, then no because she WANTED to go sell that stupid crap she sell's on QVC or whatever.

She could have had the last word NOT the producers for the Chrissy Character.

BUT she did the samething yet again. well that is her KARMA!

JOYCE DEWITT GOT REALLY SCREWED!!!!
I was curious so I just watched this scene over and over about 6 times. (On tape, of course.) That was sharp of you to notice what you posted. I, of course, have seen the last three episodes several times, but never studied it carefully because they were (for most fans) sad.

You're right, Austin Tripper, it looks like Joyce is supposed to say something after Terri says, "Well, I have a plane to catch," and after Jack says, "We better go." Janet/Joyce looks like she wants to speak but doesn't. I also noticed that she and John were holding hands even when John says his last line. Maybe he was trying to comfort her? It's hard to tell because they are acting and it's difficult to tell if their behavior was acting or for real. Probably a mixture of both.

I would like to see a script and read what Janet was supposed to say for her last line.

Now I may kid around a lot about Joyce, but I did feel sorry for her when TC ended. Remember, I was a regular viewer of the show- right up to the end. But I do think that Joyce is over it by now.

I didn't notice this thread before I saw her at last October's autograph show. I may have asked her if she had a line just before the leaving the apartment scene. I don't know if I would have asked her- I don't really want to bring up a sad time in her life. She did seem very cheerful at the show. If she is at another show in Burbank next year, MAYBE I'll ask her about that last scene.

This is a very intresting topic!! I agree w/all that AT said and I feel the characeters differnet in the last epis too!! Mostly Jack he is no longer funny all he cares about is Icky!!! He was NEVER like that in any of the other epis. he was always playful and sweet whenever he thought he was in love w/a girl.

The ending was horrible and its so obvisouse the girls were crying. I think PB was the most obvious she kept wiping her eyes
and the RF part is so true!! He was the only one that got NOTHING out of the show! Janet got Philip, Terri got to go to Hawii and Jack got Icky! Larry visited Jack and RF got NOTHING AFter her had put so much into the show.

About Jack and Janet you'll know my view on that IT's always been OBVIOUS!! but the last part it is hard to tell if John and Joyce were acting or for real b/c they as well as their characters were always so close and the holding hands was such a norm to them.

I think that they are all over the ending now. Mostly b/c of John's death. But I bet its still a delicate topic for all of them.

Ok, uh, someone's reading a little too deeply into a tv show here.

Furley doesn't visit Jack, so Jack is a jerk? Tell that to the writers of Three's A Crowd. What a minute, it isn't real life, that's why he didn't visit.

Janet's line or lines were cut...most likely a syndication thing. TONS of the final episode are chopped up into incoherent bits. In some version's, Teri's new life in Hawaii isn't even mentioned. All she says is, "I have a plane to catch". Also, look at the end credits, there's a shot of Jack holding Vicki off the ground in their new, empty apartment. I have yet to see these seen ever.

As far as TC having the most disappointing finale, all I can say is ehhhh??? TC had the best finale of any sitcom I've ever seen. So many other shows of the time ended things so poorly. Sure TC was sad, IT WAS THE FINAL EPISODE! And the die-hards are pis.sed that Jack and Janet didn't end up together. You can't have everything. But that final scene was one of the funniest danged things I've ever watched, and solidified John Ritter as one of the best physical comedians, maybe ever, on a sitcom.
