I am currently involved in a tape trade with Chris Persia- aka TheCollector. I am waiting for two weeks now to receive the tape he claims to have sent me. The package is coming from Canada, does anyone here know if a package sent from Canada normally takes two weeks or more to arrive in the states? I have e-mailed Chris inquiring about the package, with no response. That is the reason for my complaint, lack of communication. I am not going to call this individual a bad trader yet, as I still may receive the tape that was promised to me. But I have checked other internet sites, and have found other people who have posted complaints regarding Chris Persia. So the red flags are flying all over the place. In my experience, Chris Persia is an unreliable trader with lots of excuses and poor communication. I suggest being careful when dealing with him.

I don't know anything about this guy but when you are dealing with out of the US shipments you have to be patient. You can get one package from one person in 3 days and you can get another one is 3 weeks.
Like I said I know nothing about this Chris person but you have to give the postal system a chance to deliver your package. He needs to answer his email of course, but he can't do the PO job for them. |

I regularly trade with Canadians. I would not post them as bad traders until much more time has lapsed. In my experience, it takes at least twice as long for packages to arrive to my home as it does for packages to arrive there. That is a fact! |

Well, the least he could do is communicate with me. I have been patient and given him ample time to respond to my e-mail. Communication with him has been difficult thruout our entire trade process, there is no excuse for that. I will post back if I receive the tape he claims was sent.
Agent 13- In my opinion, calling someone an unreliable trader is NOT the same as calling them a bad trader. At this time, my complaint is based solely on his lack of communication with me. Maybe I should call him an unreliable communicator instead. Understood???

I'll grant you that. Most of my traders are good communicators; however, there are a few that drove me crazy in the beginning of trading with them. It is safe to say that good traders are usually good communicators, but there are some exceptions to that rule. Problems arise when poor communication and lies are coupled together. If a trader tells me he sent out a package on a specific date and the postal stamp reveals otherwise, I'd seriously consider whether or not I want to continue to trade with a liar. |

If he sent ground mail it can take 3-4 weeks.

When dealing with someone in Canada, I typically allow at least a month for their package to get to me. It's not uncommon for mine, mailed the same day, to arrive at their address within five (5) business days, but with outgoing Canada Post, you really don't have any control over it.
As for replies, in this day and age of spam filters, I find that sometimes no one's at fault other than the overly helpful programmer who set up the spam filter the person I'm writing to didn't even know s/he had. And during the summer, vacations happen. For what it's worth ... |

Well, I finally heard from Chris. I guess someone informed him that I had posted here. He told me that my tape is being sent today via express post, although in his e-mail to me on August 19 he said his wife mailed the tape to me the previous day, August 18. Hmmm. I'm waiting for his response as to what actually happened there. I will post back when all is well and I receive the tape.

Mr. Chris Persia was supposed to e-mail me last night with the tracking number of the package he claims was sent to me yesterday, although he previously told me the package was sent on August 18. Of course, I am still waiting for the e-mail. This guy is full of stories and excuses. He is an unreliable individual. Fair warning to anyone who trades with him: Prepare yourself for a long ride with plenty of stories and excuses along the way. I will post again and inform when all is well and I receive the tape, I'm not holding my breath.

Just wanted to let you know. That I can verify that he is a BAD TRADER. It has been over a month. And everytime he e-mails me he said that it has been mailed recently. He should have mailed out already. I mailed out to him very quickly, and now he is just dragging around.
DO NOT TRADE with this guy. |

Still did not receive tape from Chris Persia. I think I've waited long enough. Last I heard from him on Sept. 2nd, he claimed my package was being sent that day via express post. Maybe he meant PONY express post. And he was supposed to e-mail me with the tracking number of the package, of course I received no e-mail. My e-mail to him inquiring about the package and tracking number has been unanswered.
DO NOT trade with this clown. Save yourself the aggravation. He is unreliable, not trustworthy, and he will give you one story and excuse after the other. |

Same Here. LoL about what you said about the pony express!! That is what I am beinging to think too. I had e-mailed him asking him to prove he sent out to me by giving me the tracking number and he told me that they don't offer tracking numbers. I went to the post office and asked them and told me that they do, in my opinion he is a liar. Two months is way too long. I've made trades in Canada before and they've never taken this long.
