I don't know for sure... I was just thinking of the episode where Ed wants a facelift and Ed, Chico, Flora, and Liz where dancing. I don't recall any disco. Same with the retirement episode where they got to tour the facility and Chico was dancing with the instructer - ladie that gave the tour. It sounded more rock n roll.

Thinking of that, it reminded me of Ed asking Liz in the facelift episode "Say Mamma, Do you hustle?" Liz replies, "I don't have to. I make a nice living as a nurse"

I am sure disco was around by the time CATM was into it's third season, but the craze, so to speak, probably didn't really take hold till after Freddie was gone.... I am not sure about 4th season, but I doubt there was any disco music in the show, some Latin music and definitely R&R. Remember the big movie that made disco popular was Saturday Night Fever, and that was after Freddie's death.
