Growing up, didn't we think JJ painted that stuff? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey, I was 7 when GT first came on, so I used to believe stuff like that. I even thought the cast was singing the opening song. It sounds like 'em if you listen to it.

As for the paintings, I guess Jimmy Walker just played his character so well, it made it believable. He always actd as if he was painting something. Of course, I figured it out years later.

I thought he did too. Also, I though J.J. and Thelma were singing the theme song.

I was 8 when it first aired and I thought Wilona and James were singing the theme song with the rest of the cast on background. I did think that JJ was really painting those pictures too.

Yeah. JJ just lived that character. I really can't explain why I used to think he did it. He just looked like he did. I guess it must've been the paintings itself. Remember the painting of the entire family they showed during the credits. "JJ painted that".
