I think Alice deseves to be on DVD just as All and the Family and Three's Company is. Does any one know who we can contact to push Alice to be on DVD. This show is and always will be #1 in my book for a sitcom comedy. Lets make some noise and get this great show on DVD!

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU 100%!!!
Warner Bros. the studio that owns the rights to the show is considering putting out the first season on DVD, so we the fans must contact Warner Home Video & make sure that this happens! Call them, write them & email them & sure enough, it will be on DVD soon! In the meantime, I really do not understand why nick@nite, TV Land, Hallmark channel, Oxygen or even Lifetime who supports the working woman & has even done an intimate portrait special on Linda Lavin is not airing Alice??? It's a disgrace!!! |

Well it may not even sell that well if it was on DVD. Me personally, i haven;t seen enough of it to make a DVD purchase. I need to see the show in syndication first because i only have foggy memories of the show because I was 7 years old the last time i saw a episode.

There are many fans of this show like The Jeffersons.
Alice was a big part of the Sunday lineup back in the day. I think it would sell more DVD's then say a show like Designing Woman that is already out on DVD too. When was the last time you saw Alice? What year & what channel were they running it on? |

I am with you totally 100% about these networks not showing Alice especially Nick at Nite? I hope Warner Bros. puts Alice in DVD sooner than later. I'll have to put in a word at Warner Bros. and request that they start putting Alice on DVD. The more e-mails and letters and mailings we put out to them puts more pressure on them to respond.
Lets all band together and start putting the word out there. Someone at Warner Bros. will hear us. Until then, lets put out the word for all the Alice fans in the World.

This show BEGS to be released on DVD, especially the first season. I use to tape it years ago, but those are long gone. If I remember correctly, the writing in Season 1 was very good, and contained a number of interesting episodes involving Alice, Flo, Mel and Vera. Each character was different and brought his or her own talent to the show. Hope I see it again one day on DVD!!!

I think that Alice should be released on DVD; first, it was a great show, and second Linda Lavin, was a great actress...

I liked the interactions between Alice(Linda Lavin) and Flo(Polly Holliday). They were such different personalities, yet still managed to be friends. They offset each other very well from what I remember. I enjoy shows that have two characters who are extremely different and allow you to see them react to the same situations with different personalities:
Examples: James(John Amos) and J.J. (Jimmie Walker) on Good Times Andy and Barney(Griffith, Knotts) on The Andy Griffith Show Fred(Redd Foxx) and Lamont(Demond Wilson) on Sanford and Son Ralph Kramden(Gleason) and Ed Norton(Art Carney) on The Honeymooners Harris(Ron Glass) and Wojo(Max Gail) on Barney Miller |

Never in a thousands years would I think a topic about Alice on DVD would bring out so many people with all there reactions. I'm glad to see all of you support Alice coming to DVD. I hope someone over at Warner Bros. sees this support and reacts to it. Alice should get on DVD and deserves to be on one.
Please keep up all the great support for Alice and maybe we should see it out soon. |
