Cleaning a Car CD Player - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm driving around today and the CD I'm playing starts skipping. So I take it out and notice that it has dried soda all over it. Dried meaning sticky. So now I want to clean the CD Player just in case. Can I use one of those CD cleaners you can buy for home players, or do you have to use a different one?

Get the Allsop CD lens cleaner. It worked for me(i also used it in my car). For some reason it was skipping so I bought it and it stopped. I think it was around $10?
