Default Jealousy

Which episodes/scenes to you feel show the most jealousy -- David feeling jealous (I think there are many), but ALSO Maddie showing jealousy.

David looks very jealous when maddie is dancing with his brother in Brother can you Spare a Blonde?
He's also showing his jealousy through the Maddie and Sam story, but it showed a very hurt David too.

Maddie is very jealous when Dave gets it on with Gillian and also when he runs out of the church with Terry.

Thats it for me I guess.

(I liked it a lot by the way when one of them showed their jealousy, because that was proof for me that they still loved eachother)

David is also jeaous hurt... when Maddie shows an interest in the dead DJ in The Next Murder you Hear....and how can he not be jealous during the whole Sam crisis and even with the Walter Bishop crap.

And Maddie is really hilarious when she goes nuts about David... she is absolutely out of her mind in Maddie Hayes Got Married when she sees Terry with David.

And even in Big Man...Maddie shows her jealousy about the fact that David has an ex-wife....heck she even flies all the way across the country cause she is upset about that.

Oh yeah and another time that Maddie is funny about this whole jealous bit is in All Creatures Great and Not So Great when the secretary in the building across the street tries to come on to David on the phone. "Tramp!" Maddie says to her and slams down the phone.

Yeah C that was very funny!

And I have never seen her go out of her mind of jealousy again, like on Maddy Hayes got Married.
Boy she was pissed when he drove to the hospital with Terry.
The hospital screaming scene could have been a scene in which she slaps him too.
She was sooo angry when Dave said she paid Walter to go live with her....

Great question! I loved it when they were jealous of the other being with some one else. Some of these have already been mentioned.

For David:
the DJ in The Last Murder You Hear
Richie in Brother, Can You Spare of Blonde
Sam in the Mark Harmon episodes
Walter (even though not really a threat to him, he obviously didn't want that to last!)

For Maddie:
Gillian in Knowing Her
Tess in Big Man on Mulberry Street
Terri in Eek A Spouse (David on the phone) and Maddie Hayes Got Married.
Annie (WGC, Eine Kleine... and Lunar Eclipse (though she woudn't admit it)

I think the show was written very evenly and neither of them wanted the other with anyone else!

For me, Dave was at his most jealous during the Sam extravaganza. I think he felt it during that time more than any other because the relationship between Mads and Sam seemed too real.

I've always thought that Dave appeared even less jealous of Walter because deep down, he knew the marriage wouldn't last, and that it would just be another one of Maddie's unsuccessful attempts to forget him.

As for Mads, I'd say my most vivid memory of her being jealous is over Terry. She thought Terry and Dave were getting too close, and that seemed to make her uncomfortable.

OH! I just thought of another time. Remember in the episode Sam and Dave when David deliberately flirts with the client Miss Johnson in front of Maddie so he can give her a taste of how he feels about her with Sam? The look on Maddie's face shows she is none to pleased about that. I have always found that ironic that even though Maddie 1) was seeing Sam and 2) married to Walter....she still would get nutso over seeing David with anyone else.

Because (like Lauren said) all her attempts to get 'over' him were useless!

And that was another thing that frustrated her!

(meanwhile I'm thinking, why does a woman put herself through something like that? Maybe a new thread??)
