you know ive just read the whole fight thread, and its funny.
cause i think barwars complained that cliff clavin didnt list his source from where he got his Frasier factoid from.
but if you go back to the original post.....he did list the source.

so whats the problem??

If you read the tiny print below the post it says "Edited blah-blah-2004 at blah:blahPM"
He fixed it after I complained.

The beginning of July, because you were sending me PMs asking me questions like "so how was your big 4th of July party?".... when I never said anything about having and/or going to a 4th of july party.
Plus, the constant "where are you?" and "come to the survivor thread!" messages.
But its over.... forget it.

ok.

if we have to include sources when we post, do we need to have an index and a bibliography? just wondering, dont want to step on any toes.

You dont have to for everything, its just CliffClavin was coming off as if he suddenly realized it.

It becomes a problem when you copy and paste somebody else's fanfiction or post a word-for-word article from TV Tome claiming it's your own. I think Cliff now understands why posting sources are important. Right, Cliff?

thats all well and good.

but i must point something out.

The Cheers episode guide thats on this message board and was posted by DianeChambers87......thats taken directly, verbatim, from the book "Classic Sitcoms" by Vince Waldron. Thats about 80 pages taken directly from a published book. I didn't notice any source lisitng at all for that. And im not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to have that there. If you are going to complain about not giving credit to TVTome for a little factoid, how do you feel about 80 pages from a mass produced book?

I didn't notice that - I joined right about when she left the boards. I have a TV Tome guide in the Frasier board too and I cited the source.

But erm I'm not here to pick on Cliff. And I don't think this argument is going anywhere. But Brian should add the source for the Episode guide.

To be honest, I never bothered to even check that episode guide before. Are you sure of the source?
