Default How much educational TV do you watch?

I really am not sure if there is a better place to put this, it certainly isnt a sitcom, feel free to move it if this is a bad place

I'm just wondering how much educational TV everyone here watches, this includes local news, 24 hour news, Cspan, history channel, discovery channel, animal planet, programs on PBS, etc.

I must watch 5-10 hours, I tend to watch half an hour or so of 24 hour news on a daily basis, I also watch a few speeches on Cspan every week, and I regularly watch programs on the history channel. PBS has some great programs like Wide Angle that I have been catching recently.

I'm just wondering if anyone of you watch educational TV or if everyone here sticks to the sitcoms, dramas, and reality tv

I grew up watching British TV (no cable until I was 13). So most of the time I watched documentaries on the BBC channels. Even children's shows were quite educational (going beyond Sesame Street). When I got cable, I watched a lot of Animal Planet, the History Channel, Discovery, etc. Oh, and the news, of course.

You mean the Sunday Night Sex Show? Yeah, I watch that too sometimes. I'll watch Animal Planet or something on Discovery once in awhile. And, American Justice and Cold Case Files sometimes on A & E. I watch shows on the Life Network a lot. Usually the show Sex Toys and Chocolate. I watch a lot of educational television.

My mom has the discovery channel or forensic stuff on a lot, so I watch that sometimes and um...news whenever it's on and it's um...on.

Is Sam Malone your new idol??

You make good points. Wildlife documentaries were TV's first reality shows. Forget about the African elephant's mating rituals; it's all about human mating rituals now!

I watch court tv occasionally. Sometimes I catch the news, but other than that I just see the stuff they force me to watch at school.

I don't like to watch the news, there is nothing but bad news. It depresses me.
