Some shows have titles that can be changed and nobody would really care, but as for Cheers.... it just wouldnt work with a different title.

I've always thought The Fun Bar Place would've been a much better title. That or Stories of an Alcoholic Bartender and His Fabulous Friends.

That's what Charles/Burrows/Charles originally wanted, but NBC complained that it wouldnt fit in the TVGuide.

I read that somewhere, yet I cant pinpoint exactly.

Cheers was defenitly the perfect name for the show. It's short and it's easy to spell, whats not to like. The name fit perfectly.
