2003's Top TV-DVD grossers

The DVD's are ranked by GROSS for the year of 2003, and also listed by it are the sales it accumulated in 2003 (interesting to see titles that have been around since 2000 like the first seasons of Sex And The City and Sopranos still moving such impressive numbers).

However, this list is of top grossing, not biggest selling, so the slant is in favor of more expensive DVD's. For example The Sopranos season 4, which sold 286,000 copies in 2003 at a list price of $99.99 was in the top 10, whereas South Park season 1, which sold 297,000 copies last year at roughly half the price was #25 for the year. Therefore a lot of lower-priced titles that may have sold well (I am sure Three's Company season 1 sold great) didn't make the cut while titles like Taken, Queer As Folk and Star Trek TNG which retailed over $100 and sold 100,000 or less made it.
