Default Could they pull off a new Saved By The Bell?

I know nothing will ever be as good as the original Saved By The Bell but does anyone here think that NBC should bring back Saturday mornings and put on some new shows like a newer Saved By The Bell and just keep it going somewhat like Saved By The Bell: The New Class but keep the same actors over a span of time. NBC needs to recreate Saturday mornings with some good new Peter Engel shows.

Yeah. I think it would be great if NBC could do that for the new generation of kids. However, probably not with Peter Engel productions anymore, since he retired from TV and is now a Dean of a Communications school at a University. here is a link announcing his position back in 2003

I'll bet that if Saved By the Bell were brought back, it would be a comedy-drama like "Seventh heaven" or "Degrassi" or something. Maybe gave the characters more depth.

This is hard to say. I don't think they will ever recreate the magic they had with SBTB. I never really watched any of the new class. SBTB was a once in a lifetime phenomenon.

I don't think they could pull it off again.
They would probably recycle storylines from the original.
Also, you know that, if they had a SBTB today, they would use actors that weren't teenagers, and I hate when they do that.
Also, it probably wouldn't be as clean of a show as it was back then. They'd have to have love affairs, scandals, bad language, etc.

You noticed it also that on California Dreams they used actors and actoresses who were a little older than high school age. Not saying all were older but alot of them were.

It ran from 1992-1997

Michael Cade who played Slyvester Sly Winkle born June 14, 1973
Brent Gore who played Matt Garrison was born June 19, 1974
Arron Jackson who played Mark Winkle was born June 16, 1973
Jennie Kwan who played Samantha Sam Woo was born September 9th, 1974
Heidi Lenhart Who Played Jenny Garrison was born August 22, 1973
Jay Anthony Franke who played Jake Sommers was born May 17, 1972
William T. Jones who played Tony Wicks was born August 24, 1974
Kelly Packard who played Tiffiani Smith was born January 25, 1975
Diana Urbe who played Lorena Costa was born October 8th, 1975

Most of theses people were already out of high school, but were playing a high school student in the show, why didn't they actually use real high school kids?
