Default Which character departure bothered you the most? Denise or Cockroach?

Cockroach and Theo had great chemistry, it's a shame they couldn;t have done a spinoff together. Denise was a entertaining character but Cockroach was the man. Cockroach best moment on the show was his last appearance when he danced with TINA on Dance Mania.

Cockroach's departure bothered me the most, I don't remember them even mentioning him after he left. He was cool.

There probably was never a explanation for the cockroach character not being seen because the character who played cockroach had a argument with Bill Cosby and left the show

Carl Anthony Payne was let go by Cosby due to his use of texturizer in his hair. Cosby did not allow any of the actors to use it and Payne apparently didn't agree.

It's all good though cause a few years as we all know, he landed on 'Martin' and that lasted for 5 years

I was sad to see Denise grow up,and go away.I thought she was great on the show, but mostly when she was younger.

Denise was great, they ruined her character when she came back from Africa with a husband and step daughter. IMO

The character went on a downhill spiral when they made more goofier and irresponsible. The first two seasons of the show she did have an edge about her but she was a straight A student. When she went on to do her spinoff A Different World the character changed and when she came back for those few episodes the following the dive began. The Africa storyline was a bit much. But her return was great but giving her a husband with a stepdaughter was not a good move. When Cosby let her Olivia should had gone too. The Denise character was not handled very well with the writers. If the show needed that kid factor for Cosby then they should have featured Sondra and Elvin's twins more. Olivia was on more than the twins.

I thought Denise's departure was the more bothersome because it had its strange moments, like where Martin came back to visit Olivia by himself, leaving Denise in Asia.

I most definitely have to agree with you there! I loved her during season two. I thought she was the best in that season with that Linda Dano shortcut and her comical antics. I loved the license episode. TSA, you nailed this one!
