I got Mary and Rhoda on DVD while I was on vacation earlier this week, and I loved it! Of course, the show isn't up to par with the original series, but it still was very good. I read somewhere that Mary and Rhoda sales determine if FOX releases Season 2 of MTM? Can anyone confirm that?

I seriously hope that's not true! One hasn't got anything to do with the other one, IMO. The movie wasn't good at all, really and anyone seeking the pleasure of MTM as she once was would be left in the cold waiting for votes about this movie determining the release of MTM second season. That gets a bug PU from me.

Apart from the opening clips and Mary and Rhoda meeting up,I really didn't care for the Movie.
It turned half way into an episode of "Cagney and Lacey". I think it should have been set at Ted's funearl, where the cast of TMTMS could have paid tribute to the real loss of Ted Knight. It would have been good to see old friends like Lou, Phyllis,Murray,Sue Ann,Georgette. Who knows, maybe they'll do another movie? |

I don;t think Mary should have gotten the shaft in doing that news story in the movie. She did what broadcast writers are SUPPOSED to do: re[port a story without making it too tawdry or sensatiuonalized. AI am in a broadcast writing class and I think Mary should have gotten a pulitzer or an Emmy for that story, but that ******* of a boss didn;t think so. I did not like him at all because of how he treated people in that office. Mary was totally in the right for doing the story the way it was done. What dio you all think?
