Default Does anybody like this song?

I Hope You Dance (Lee Ann Womack featuring Sons Of The Desert)
(Mark D. Sanders/Tia Sillers)

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give fate a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their years and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a wheel in constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their years and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their years and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

I like this song, I think it's a very nice song but that's just what i think.

I've heard it. It's awful. They played it at my brother's wedding reception.

OMG, I thought I was the only one that couldn't stand that song.!!I taped a figure skating show recently and one of the skaters, Katia Gordeeva, skated to that song. As much as I love to see her skate, I fast-forwarded through her performance because I knew I couldn't stand to listen to that song.

My mom and I love it. Not so much the melody, but the lyrics...they're really nice.

It's okay. I liked it at first but they played it so much on local radio stations that I couldn't take it anymore.

Well i guess most of you don't like it because it's kind of a country music song. I understand that most you probably don't like country music. I like some country actually i like almost alittle bit of everything. Mostly pop/rock but also country some r&b some oldies a little hip hop. I guess it just depends on what i feel like listening at the time.

Country is all I listen to, but I actually think that I'd like this song even if I didn't like country. I just love the lyrics.

Yeah i can tell you like country because you like Tim McGraw, I think he's pretty cool. I think his new song is kind of sad, "Live Like You Were Dying". I like it though i just think it's sad because i think it's about his fathers death i'm not sure though. It's still a good song though. Country artists i like are, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, probably more but those are who i could think of right away.

I love Tim and Faith. They're my favorites.

The weird thing about "Live Like You Were Dying" is that Tim chose to record it before his father died. Here's the direct quote from CMT.com.

"McGraw spent six weeks at No. 1 with 'Live Like You Were Dying.' He says the first time he heard it, he and his wife, Faith Hill, were in the bathroom getting ready to go out. He stepped into the shower and she cranked the stereo, playing the demo three times in a row, and when he stepped out of the shower, he told her it would be the first single, no doubt about it.

But in time, he had second thoughts. His father, famed baseball player Tug McGraw, had been sick for a while, then passed away in January. Suddenly the lyrics -- about making the most of your life when you know the end is near -- seemed too real. 'I almost didn't cut the song because of the situation,' he says, 'because I didn't want anybody to think I was cutting it for that.'

Still, McGraw says, 'When I heard the song, it didn't ring to be about death to me. It's more an affirmation of life, more than anything.'"
