Home Again starrring Tim Allen and Kathy Najimy as parents of a 26 year old girl who returns from college back to her hometown, which has greatly changes since she left, and wayward son who drops a big bomb onto his family. Tim Allen plays Dr. Steve Kinnely, a plastic surgeon who is going through a mid-life crisis and is wanting a career change of being a plastic surgeon for 25 years. Kathy Najimy plays Paula Kinnely, a housewife all her life, who now after 27 years of marriage, wants to go back to college and get her degree like she always dreamed of. Steve and Paula's daughter, Lauren Kinnely (Sara Rue) returns from UCLA to her Minneapolis home, where she learns things have changed since she left her hometown a few years ago. Steve and Paula's son, Jason Kinnely (Topher Grace) returns home with news that he dropped out of college. Steve and Paula are very upset due to the fact that they spent all that money for nothing. Lauren's childhood best friend, Amanda Hennessy (Amy Smart) buy her parents's house (which is right next door to the Kinnely's home) with her fiancee, Kevin Daniels (Breckin Meyer). Lauren and Amanda decide to make up for old times and continue being friends, even though Lauren is secretly jealous that her best friend is engaged and she doesn't even have a date for the weekend. Meanwhile, Jason and her long-time best friend, Scott Taylor (Seth Green) decide to start up their own business-selling extreme sports equipment, which Steve (and sorta Paula) think is a big mistake.
