You Know You Watch Too Much TV When...

you wake up humming/singing a theme song
you start quoting lines from your favorite shows in regular conversations without realizing it
your opinion on current events is based on a Letterman or Leno standup joke
you remember watching the retro commercials and you remember all the words
you go to make a call on your cell phone, only to find that you've been walking around all day with your remote control hooked to your belt instead of your phone
you and your roommate can have entire conversations composed of quotes from various TV shows
cast members on favorite classic shows ask a question and you supply the correct answer verbatim before the person to whom the question was addressed has had time to respond
you're watching a show you don't like and realize it's a repeat and you realize you didn't like it the first time either
when someone makes an incorrect statement about a character or show and you feel obliged to point out their error
you had "cable hookups" put in the bathroom, and patio
you refer to your laryngitis as "audio difficulties"
you know all the words to the theme song and can name the theme song in three notes or less
you start using the remote on other things
you try to fast forward through the commercials but you're not using the VCR.

I actually don't watch a lot of TV. I used to watch a few hours a day, but now I'm down to one or two. And I'm usually doing something else while I'm watching.
