Why cant I copy my music to my E: drive?

And yes, before you ask, the drive is CDRW and I have made CD's from this before. I dunno... all of a sudden its being a bitch and saying that the CD Im putting in isnt CDR or whatever when it is. Hell Ive tried about 4 of them! I know theyre blank and good too. As for the other drive, meangya I cant even get it to open. I have been downloading the past 2 days, and if Im not able to make a CD by tomorrow I will have to get violent to my computer. Its an old POS and I want to use my Dads again.

are you trying to save files directly from Kazaa (or other spyware-filled P2P file-sharing program) to a writeable cd?

the ONLY way this would work is if the disk is set-up properly with your cd-writing software first

usually this means you have to have the memory-resident portion of the program running, such as INCD for NERO, DirectCD for Roxio, or DLA for Sonic/RecordNow, insert the cd, and set-it up so that Windows sees it as a writable drive

IF THIS ISNT working - just save the files to some other drive first and copy them to the disk manually

Hmm thanks. Im copying them from Windows Media Player and it said there was no CDR in the drive, yet when I went to my cpmouter it said a CD was loaded. Since that didnt work, I sent all the files directly to my E: drive and that still didnt work. I have made CDs before on this computer though it was forever ago since we were using a new computer the last year or so. I dunno if there is any way of saving songs as a file on a floppy, but if that would work I could totally give it a try. Thanks again.

Yah my Dads gonna take a look at it once he gets back with the dogs. Thing is, I even tried to play my Kim Locke CD, and it didnt even acknowledge it. Thing is, it once say theres no CD in there, it just wont play.
