Post Three's Company Being Renewed

If Three's Company would've been renewed 2 or 3 more years after the last episode do you think it still would've been good or do you think its good where it ended?

I think it was good to end the show at that particular point. The acting was good, and the episodes to the end were funny. Also, I'm glad there was closure to the show, unlike so many others. I think another season would have seen the introduction of new characters (as it is I'm no fan of Vicky or her father) or the making over of existing characters. The newness of the show was wearing off as comedy tastes were changing. I'm so glad they didn't do a season of controversial topics or we'd never see them on Nick

I highly agree D&R I think the show was good to end where it did if it would've went on the writers would've probably ran out of ideas and some of the stuff that happened in other episodes may have been repeated. When you said a closure do you mean you are glad it ended nice? I'm glad it did too and I don't care much for Vicky and her father either and I've never seen Three's A Crowd but seeing them on the episodes of TC I did'nt like them much. Why did'nt Jack marry Janet or Terri or Chrissy? I know Chrissy got kicked off the show but they could've let her come back. I would'nt want to see the making of new chracters and all that either in TC if it was Vicky and her father and I agree that the newness was starting to wear off some. That's right we probably never would get to see a season of controversal topics on Nick if TC did them. Thanks for your reply and hope you can understand my message and thanks to anyone else who replys! I wish they would've done a final TC episode and have Jack get married to one of his roomate girls and have all the characters in it that were still in the show and that left the show like Chrissy and The Ropers.

When I spoke of the show having closure, I meant that the cast & writers were aware that TC was coming to an end. Thus, TC didn't end with just a "typical" episode as many other shows had done due to being cancelled. I'm not thrilled about TC's ending, but it's better than nothing.

Thanks for explaning what you meant and if it would've ended with just a typical episode or spun-off then they should've had Jack marry one of his roomate girl friends and in the final episode have all the characters in there and then have a great spin-off of Jack and whatever roomate he married and had the characters in it or guest star once in awhile. I'm not happy with the ending of TC either but I'm glad the characters who were in the last season were still friends and all happy and well.

By the way anyone know what characters were at Janet and Phil's wedding and what characters were around when Vicky and her father were in the episodes where Janet gets married? I only saw the first part of the two part episode. Were the characters who were around and who were at Janet's wedding besides Janet and her new husband were the characters that were around Jack, Larry, Mr. Furley, Terri, and Vicky and her father? Was that all and no Chrissy, Ropers, or Cindy?

Crissy, the Ropers, and Cindy weren't there. There were, like, extras, but other than who you mentioned, no main characters from TC were on the show.

You should really see the last part of the last episode. It is soooo good.

I also didn't think very highly Vicky or her father. Up until I saw the last episode, I always wished Jack would end up with one of the girls. Oh, well. I liked the way they ended it.

Wow, i agree with all of you people. First of all i love the show, and i had always wished jak and janet would hook up. The last show did disapoint me...and i definantely hated vicky ...and her psycho dad! Jack deserves someone better! But as D&R said, at least the show did not just STOP, and there was an ending that revealed some answers, weather we liked them or not.

I thought Jack and Vicky looked cute together. Jack and Janet would have made a cute couple, but they were more like friends to me. I couldn't stand Vicky's dad, though. What a snob! I loved the episode when Vicky and Jack first met each other.

the funny moment is the time Jack woke up in bed with Roper.
