One thing I never understood was that after the fire the whole house was burnt but Mrs. Garrett's room which was never seen...was not effected by the fire she lists them off..."Well the kitchen and the shop...and the living room and your room (talking to the girls)

I noticed that, too! It would have been nice if they showed that room... they didn't show Natalie and Tootie's remodeled bedroom till the 9th season, and it was built early in the 8th season!
(it was such a cute room, it seems a shame they only used it like twice!) ...I used to imagine that Mrs.Garrett/Beverly Ann's room looked sort of like Mr.Belvedere's room. Small, but very cozy with a cute little desk and ruffly curtains. :-) |

A friend of mine was an extra on 3 episodes, including the one from Season 5 when Natalie is depressed over her father's death and doesn't want to go to the Pat Benatar concert with Tootie.
He's the guy in the middle of the room when Natalie is filling her water glasses to play the Bells of St Mary... he told me how he ran up the stairs to find nothing but an unfinished, lumber-ish space for the actors to stand and await their cues. He also noticed that their beds were very small, like baby beds, but looked larger on viedotape. |
