Thumbs down Roper's an ass!

Don't you aggree that Mr. Roper is a selfish,
snot ass landlord who cares about the rent more than Mrs. Roper?

Red face

Mr. Roper wasn't snooty, but he didn't spend a lot of time with his wife. He was cheap and did care about his rent. He often bickered with Mrs. Roper about silly things such as money. But I'd say he was mostly concerned about what went on with the kids' lives upstairs. Mr. Roper was nosy and mean at times, while his sweetheart wife minded her own business. I'm glad the kids and Helen taught Roper a lesson when he was overhearing Chrissy's conversation with Jack and Linda. But Mr. Roper's personality made him a funny guy and he was a lot better than Furley.

Yeah, sure. But THAT was his personality. That's kinda what made him likable (more or less).
Every show needs a jerk!

Yeah, I know, but I just had to reply. I really think that Mr. Roper was really mean and everything, but I think that was what was funny about it. He kinda got on my nerves, always doing the whole tinkerbell thing after a while, and Mr. Furley didn't do that as much. I thought that whole thing was funny for a while, and after a while he and the whole tinkerbell thing and sex joke thing with his wife got olf, and so that's why I think it was good for him to leave when he did. Thumbs down

you can tell Jack hated mr roper!!!.. I never notice this until they started showing them on nick at nite..

it was smart to have mr furley have a brother bart own the building so then he didn't have to be mean about having the rent.. his way was.. "hey my brother will fire me..so pay me".. ( so he was still the kids friend!)

Yeah! I agree! That's what made him funny!!!! If Mr. Roper was perfect, then the Ropers wouldn't be funny... Mrs. Roper wouldn'r make "BEDROOM" jokes!!! And Jack's (so called *fake* )homosexuality would be okay w/ Mr. Roper and even if he told him that he wasn't gay....Mr. Roper would be cool enough and DULL enough to let him stay!!! Haha!!
