Default Artists you've tried to like...

but you just can't get into.

Surely there are artists out there you've really wanted to like, but yet when trying to listen to their music, you just don't "feel" it.

Who are these artists for you?
offhand for me:
Garbage
Radiohead
Coldplay
Anastacia

The Sex Pistols. I know they were the Beatles of punk, but they sounded like a bunch of talentless nimrods who couldn't figure out what the hell they were doing. I just. . .couldn't. . .get into them.

I tried to get into good charlotte a few years ago but i couldnt help cringing at the sounds they generated.

The entire pop-punk genre violates the saying "rock and roll ain't noise pollution"

In high school I tried really hard to get into Soundgarden, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, but was never able to.

I could get into STP and Pearl Jam, albeit they both are cd's that gather dust, but Soundgarden I never could. That is why I never gave Audioslave a chance, because I hated both bands they came from.

It's basically the gang mentallity, after Nirvana took off, suddenly all these grunge bands were "cool" out of nowhere and we had to catch up with the mainstream over these groups. There were some great bands out of the early 90's grunge movement (Nirvana and Alice In Chains being my top 2) but there were also a lot of bands that were overhyped and not that good. And what sucked was that it was so "cool" to bash metal bands around this time, yet to me, groups like Guns N Roses, Motley Crue and Def Leppard that suddenly were deemed "uncool" practically overnight IMO made better music than many of the bands that supposedly took their place in "coolness".

Neil Diamond. There's just no way in hell. In fact, hell would have to freeze over.

John Mayer, I liked some of his singles but when I bought Room For Squares or whatever it is called most of his songs just bored me to death.

I admit I didn't like Room For Squares much, but I do think Heavier Things was a much better album, surprisingly it's the one that didn't sell nearly as well and people generally find it less commercial, yet I think Heavier Things is a much more accessable album and the music is better
