Default Why doesn't anyone like Sondra?

It puzzles me why not many people like Sondra. I thought the fights between her and Elvin were funny. She always pounded him into the dust. I also thought she was pretty and had a good singing voice. Why don't mny people like Sondra?

I didn't like her the best, but I thought she was a great character. I can't really think of any characters I didn't like on The Cosby Show.

I couldn't stand Elvin.He was annoying.Sondra just wasn't such a big deal to me.Its not like i hated her,but she wasn't a 'stand-out' character for me.

Sondra didn't stand out for me either. I guess because she wasn't as comical as the rest of them and was pretty much a straight character. She just played the role of an overacheiving older sibling who set the example for her younger siblings.

By the way, did you know Sondra(I forgot her real name) is only about 6 years younger than Phylisia Rashad in real life

Sondra wasn't featured as often as the other children, and she didn't bring in as many laughs. She was more of a serious character, so it's somewhat understandable why others aren't immediately drawn to her. I personally like Sondra's character, but if there is one thing that she brings to the Cosby Show, it's the link we have to Elvin. I know a lot of people don't think much of Elvin, and have described him as a dork among other thing, but I think that dorky innocence (even as a graduate of college) provides a lot of comedy. He seems a little clumsy and unsure of himself, and his social views are a bit outdated, but throughout the show, we see him grow, and his interractions with Clair and especially Cliff are simply priceless. If there are any doubts about the humor he brings when he's featured, take another look at the episode in which he proposes to Sondra, or the one where he cooks for the family to get on Clair's good side. Elvin's mere existence allows me to appreciate Sondra that much more.

Sondra was just boring & dull, & Elvin just seemed to bring that out even worse in her.The only time I thought she was ever interesting & funny was when she was sick & Claire & Elvin's mom took the babies away, & she stormed in the Huxtables house like a mad woman trying to find them. That showed me that she had potential to be interesting but they never had any seens like that!
