I forgot to set my VCR to record ep # 82 "How Do You Sleep" on TV Land. So, I was wondering if anyone saw it and noticed if it was any different from N@N's bad editing of that episode. On the N@N version, they cut out a great line from that episode. The scene shows Alex in his bed struggling to fall asleep. He closes his eye and proceeds to say (as he is apparently dozing off), "I'm going .... I'm going ............ I'm gone." Then, a few seconds later, he suddenly opens his eyes and says, "I'm back." Like I said, N@N cut this line out. Was wondering if the TV Land version played it. I know TV Land and N@N run by the same people, but *sometimes* the editing is different. Thanks.

I don't remember that on the TVLand version. That sucks
Why do they edit the episodes anyway?

OK, thanks everyone. I guess I don't feel so bad for missing the TV Land airing now. But, I clearly remember that line from the original airing. Yea, it sucks how so much great stuff has to be edited out of these classic sitcoms to make time for commercials. What's worse is what they CHOOSE to edit out. Like that great line from the "How Do You Sleep" episode of Family Ties. Another example is with Three's Company. In the episode where Jack accompanies Janet to a fancy, upper-class party. Jack mixes alcohol with the medication he is taking. The result is a HILARIOUS dance sequence by Jack at the party ..... most of which N@N chooses to edit out! Unbelievable.
