Heres something very interesting about the most popular and well known African American sitcoms.In some way certain stars of a particular show have appeared on another popular show or are owned by the same company or have made reference to each other. The Cosby Show,Family Matters,Bernie Mac,Good Times,Fresh Prince,My Wife and Kids,A Different World,The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son.

Sherman Hemsley (The Jeffersons) guest starred on Family Matters and Fresh Prince.

Sherman Hemsley and Isabel Sanford (The Jeffersons) did a guest spot on Fresh Prince.

John Amos and BernNadette Stanis (Good Times) appeared in episodes of The Cosby Show.

Jasmine Guy (A Different World) guest starred on Fresh Prince.

My Wife and Kids and Bernie Mac have made references to The Cosby Show.

James Avery (Fresh Prince) made a cameo on Family Matters and a guest spot on A Different World.

Tisha Campbell (MWK) did guest spots on A Different World and Fresh Prince.

An episode of Bernie Mac made a reference about Sanford and Son.

Bill Cosby,Phylicia Raschad, Malcolm Jamal-Warner,Tempestt Bledsoe,Keshia Knight Pulliam, and Lisa Bonet (The Cosby Show) all appeared on A Different World.
