On tonight's episode, "Beaver Play Hooky," Wally asks June if he can get a tattoo. Of course we all know what the answer to that would be from her.
I have thought about getting one, but haven't taken the step. Does anyone here have one, or are you thinking of getting one? I think they are a lot more common now than in the LITB era!

Tattoos? NEVER!
![]() Seriously. I think tattoos ruin skin and you'll regret getting it if you ever want it to be taken off. My dad has one, wants it off, but doesn't want it taken off the way the do it. I told him "You wanted this tattoo so bad. Now you have do deal with it". |

I think that is true, and most people probably do regret getting them. I did think it was funny how Wally brought it up, as I didn't think they were very common in those days!

No, I don't think they were. They're too common nowadays if you ask me. They're alright but I feel bad when people get them, get sick of them, and regret what they once wanted.

No, but you certainly may join
I might end the club soon because only half of the members in it come here. But I'll make the best of it so you can enjoy it.

No I have never thought of getting one. I think they look a bit seedy on woman. I know I am probably narrow minded on this topic. Sailors yes Ladies no.

I think Ward was right when he said all boys go through a phase where they want a tattoo! I wanted one a few times but never got one!

Thanks Tom! You are right about being sure you want it before you do it, that's for sure!

I've been thinking of getting one myself, but I have an Uncle who got one in the service. Remember that skin ages. His tattoo is of a hula dancer (typical 50s thing I guess). Now it looks awful. Between the sun and his skin's natural aging, she looks more like an old hooker than a hula dancer. If I do get one it will be on the small side, with not alot of heavy detail. Seems that type holds up better with time.

I have 23 tattoos, on my arms and chest. I have had them for about 18 years, have never regreted it, and most likely will get more. Theres one differance between tattooed and non tattooed people, Tattooed people don't care if your not tattooed!
