Season 2 dvd???? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know it is way too soon to start asking when season 2 on dvd will be released, but I actually wanted to know if anybody knew how many months it was between the release of the season 1 and season 2?

I heard on a website that that amount of time is the same with all dvd box sets. It was probably wrong, though so I'm just wondering.

It's okay if no one knows. At least it WILL be coming out sooner or later.

It isn't the same amount of time between season sets for all series. There are many factors that go into determining when sets are released. I'm not sure it's definite that season two will be released at all. It will probably depend on how sales of season one are.

Yeah - it depends on the sales of the first season, although i would assume we wont see the second season in less than 8 months, but more likely over 12.

I know that M*A*S*H season sets have been released with a 6 month time period and sometimes shorter... when the Simpsons debuted on DVD they sold the most. Now they have not been released as fans would like the show to be released, I'm sure. But potentially the fastest selling TV DVDs are sold the quickest... season-by-season I mean.

I'm the one who fears for the Happy Days release... someone told me that they feared just the opposite.. that the first two seasons would do poorly and that the rest of the seasons would do terrific... so, only time will tell if this is a hit on DVD.
