Default Did CBS have any Sitcoms that you enjoyed between 1980-1989?

I can only think of one known CBS sitcom in the 80's era and that's Kate and Allie. But i cannot think of another CBS Comedy between 1980-89. I'm thinking CBS was more popular in dramas during that era.

and

Square Pegs

I'm only naming shows that started in the 80s, otherwise I would add:

WKRP in Cincinnati (1978-1982)
The Jeffersons (1975- 1985)
M*A*S*H (1972 - 1983)

I still haven't seen Kate & Allie (is it in syndication??).... so I can't speak for that.
The real tough question to answer would be what CBS Sitcom you like during the 90s.... God they were dead then.

Shows that began in 1980 or later that I enjoyed was Newhart, Pvt. Benjamin,Kate And Allie, My Sister Sam, and Major Dad which premiered in 1989. Yep not to much to choose from for the whole decade.

Most of the good sitcoms that premiered in the 80's were on NBC (i.e. "Cheers," "Family Ties," "The Cosby Show"). The only one that premiered on CBS in this time period that I like still enjoy to watch today (whenever a network is smart enough to pick it up) is NEWHART. I think it is obscenely underrated and its finale stands out as one of the greatest in TV history. I almost prefer it to Newhart's 1970's sitcom.
