Okay, I have this week and next week off from work, so I thought "cool, I'll finally get to watch UM at 12 and 1". However, I didn't even bother watching today since the 12:00 showing was one of the "new" repackaged episodes (or was it a CBS episode? I don't remember, but it is the same drek) and the 1:00 episode was something forgettable from the 96 or 97 season. Now my question: with Lifetime hacking up and repackaging episodes in the "new" format, do they ever show the old stories? By old, I mean stories from 87-94. A period I think most poeple on this board appreciate. Or have the old stories basically disappeared since Lametime has changed the format of the show and worked some of the older segments in?
It was wonderful just a few years ago when UM was on at 8pm and again at 2am for 30 minutes. I really wish they would bring those times back. Most of the movies Lifetime shows are total crap. My girlfriend and I often read aloud the Lifetime movie listings in the front of the TV guide because some of the titles are so funny and stupid sounding. Most of the titles are like: "A Moment of Truth Movie: Stalking Back: The Lisa Marie Prescott Jones Smith Jenkins Story" and "My Child's Name is ______" Sorry for the tangent. Thanks, Justin |

I haven't seen any of the older episodes since I don't remember when, I definitely want to see them again. Not only that, I don't remember when Lifetime last aired them.
Here are a few cases which aired (actually, premiered) within those years: The story about a man who supposedly died in two house fires. Another story about a woman who commited suicide in a hotel room. She went missing and had actually planted her purse and car keys in separate areas, so that it would appear that she had been abducted. And my last one is the story about a disgruntled former army man who killed the mother of his children and her husband. He actually killed both of them in front of his children. |

I much agree that Lifetime has forgotten about many of the older stories. The last time I saw stories from 1987-1994 was January of this year. It's a shame, since the show was at its best back in those days. I'm not sure if the older stories will return. In the past, Lifetime would get rid of the older stories, only to bring them back later.
I often record the show during the day for the occasional old story placed in their 2001/2002 episodes. Usually when Keely Shaye-Smith appears on the 1996/1997 episode, I crumple up some paper and throw it at the TV.
