OK, on Aug 14, I'm flying to NYC for an educational trip for school. We'll be there long enough to go shopping and stuff. I've never been, but I hear that the clothes up there are alot cheaper. For the peeps who live there, what stores or malls would you recommend me to go to? I like name-brand, trendy clothes. I'll only have a couple hundred dollars to buy my school clothes with, so I need a good deal on clothes and shoes. THANX!!!

If you like name-brand clothes so much, couldn't you just buy them near where you live and then buy more rare New Yorkish-things up in New York? I hate to break it to you but name brand things are name brand things. The prices aren't gonna change unless there's some big sale going on. As for stuff in the City, I can't remember, but since NYC is such a tourist hotspot, it'll probably be more expensive up there, unless you buy stuff from street vendors. Sorry I couldn't help you more, I've only been there three times, and twice were only day trips and the other time was only for a night.

Who says NYC is CHEAP? LOL!
But anyway, for brand-name clothing, I recommend Soho. Yeah... definitely Soho. And try Herald Square too, (home of Macy's) and the areas surrounding. Manhattan Mall has quite a few brand-name stores, as well. (At least the last I went, there were!) Hope you have a blast at the Big Apple.
