If someone was going to remake a new HOTC show for TV, who would you want to star in it?
For Eric I think Sean Maguire would be good. There is somthing about him that reminds me of Eric. But hes older then high school so that would not work. I think Scarlett Johansson would make a good Simone? Maybe Dakota Fanning as Janice? What do you think? |

I definitely know who Sean is. He used to be on "Off Centre" (with John Cho from "Harold and Kumar"). Now he's on "Eve." But can he make his Aussie accent sound like a Brooklyn one?
Come to think of it, maybe Kal Penn could play Jaws (I had to drop that one in.) I originally thought that Meagan Good could play Darlene, but she's been taking on all these hoochie roles lately so I dunno. Maybe Colin Hanks (Tom Hanks' son) as Arvid? Maybe one of the Mowry twins (Tia or Tamera) as Sarah. Maybe. I'm having an extreme brain fart thinking about this right now...so maybe I should come back tomorrow well-rested and refreshed. The big question is: Who'd play Charlie Moore?

Im glad there is someone else who knows about "Off Centre" I used to enjoy that show a lot, until the WB took it off. Im sure he could hold back his accent. If not then make Eric from across the pond lol
Meagan Good is so beautiful! I think she would make a good Darlene. And I never thought about Tia or Tamera) until you said it and it sounds good to me since Sarah was almost like one of the sisters on "Sister Sister" And as for Mr.Moore. Wouldnt it be nice if Howard Hesseman took the roll again? |

Who would play Dennis? Are there any funny, 'big' guys around anymore?

As for "funny fat guys," there are a ton out there (like the guys on MAD TV and the sitcom hubbies on "Still Standing" and "King of Queens")...but none of them are young enough to play a high school student!
I don't know about Howard Hesseman playing Charlie again...would be nice, but I heard he was so jaded about the experience and glad to leave. Maybe Beth Littleford ("The Daily Show," "Spin City," "Method and Red") as Ms. Meara? She's got the goofiness Ms. Meara had down. But she's not as tall as Jeanetta Arnette (I don't think). I think someone new and in the indie flick business should play Maria. I mean who could top that? |

He did lose a lot of weight as of now so good for him! And Dee I really like your idea of Beth Littleford. She is funny on The "I Love the 80's/90's" on VH1. I was also thinking of Wendi McLendon-Covey who is on a show called Reno 911(Funny show) I think we should have fun and add more life to this place by voting on a new cast. Like We give a few choices for each character and we do a poll until we get a full new cast. It could be a dumb idea but let me know. |

And Alan? Who'd play him? That's a tough one.

I thought of Ron Lester, too, but knew he had lost a bunch of weight. Maybe Josh Peck from that Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh (whose creator happens to be Dan Schneider!) would be a great Dennis.
I was looking at the internet movie database. What if Scott Wolf dyed his hair blond? Could he pass for Alan, or is he too old? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0669681/p...lery-granitz-0 This link is for Josh. We would also have to find a little girl to play Janice. |

Interesting. I don't think Scott would need to dye his hair, though. Tony was a natural brunet (most of the time) and sometimes had his tips frosted blond. Scott has been out of the limelight lately...busy with his marriage to Kelley from "Real World: New Orleans"!
I think with a white wig, Paul Vogt from MAD TV could play Dr. Samuels. |

Hmmm...I thought Alan had blond hair. I'll have to re-watch my episodes!
Paul Vogt would be a good Dr. S.! |

Yep. To make it easier, just look at the pic on top of here. His hair is brown. But there were times where he had it highlighted/frosted blondish.
David Carradine reminds me of Howard Hesseman, but after "Kill Bill" and his tai chi videos, I just don't think he'd play Mr. Moore. He's way too "zen." Okay, so we pretty much gave names for the cast...I just wish I could think of someone for Maria! I originally thought Mila Kunis ("That 70s Show"), since she kinda resembles her, but she seems kinda immature and not spacy enough to play Maria. |

I thought about Kay Panamaker (or is her last name Wanamaker?) from "Summerland" (with Lori Loughlin from "Full House") as Janice. Tannis had that precocious know-it-all attitude...but Kay's know-it-all attitude is just plain annoying.
However, she is a little girl (maybe 12-13 and kind young looking) that could be a Janice... I had an idea. I want to take all the choices for a remake, and list the pros and cons of what makes them a good/bad replacement, and put that on my site. (I did try to do the lookalikes, but that didn't work.) This one would mos def work. |

I think Dakota Fanning as Janice. She is a amazing little actress!
Speaking of Nick, I wish they would make a remake like this and air it then put the good old HOTC back on Nick@Nite! And warsaw I like your idea of Josh Peck. I just saw an episode of that show. Its cute
