Has anybody here ever read that book or had to read that book?
I did in 11th grade. I never understood a word of it. I saw it the
other day. What exactly is the story about?

We had to read it in 9th grade. It was okay. It wasn't a long book or anything. From what I can remember it took place at an all boys boarding HS and had something to do with selling candy. I don't remember much else.

Yeah, I read that book in high school. It was pretty good. If you like it, there's a sequel, "Beyond the Chocolate War."

Well I always loved to read. It is very strange the way it is layed out. I personally would not suggest a fifth grader reading it.
At least 8th grade.
