My bestfriend since 1st grade just suddenly decided to change schools. I probably won't ever see heer again if she goes. I want to tell her not to go, but I want her to be happy.

That sucks. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of times, when that happens, you drift apart even if you say you won't. Maybe you guys can still do stuff after school and on weekends.

I'm 15 and I knew my bestfriend since 4th grade. In 6th 7th and 8th grade, we went to seperate middle schools, but we are so tight that we saw eachother almost every weekend and called eachother everyday. In 9th grade, I was glad to know that she was going to my high school. But to tell the truth, now that we see eachother more, we're like sisters that argue, but we always get along. When we were going to different schools, we missed eachother more when we saw eachother, and we hardly ever argued because we were not in eachothers way. So, her going to a different school isn't so bad unless she's like 45 minutes away. I'm just glad that are friendship was strong enough that we stayed BEST friends, although we were seperated for 3 years. And plus, being in class with my bestfriend is not good because we play alot and we don't get our work done.

My "bestfriend" (although I hate those kind of titles) is moving too. Loser. Anyone who ups and leaves highschool right in the middle of it is a loser. |

I met my best friend before kindergarten. Maybe call her on the phone or have her register here or something.

who cares. you'll learn that most of your "friends" throughout high school aren't really friends at all. once you're all away at different schools you'll grow apart. It happens, life goes on.

Maybe I can offer you some advice, since I've been through these situations countless times since I can remember. Basically, people come and go, and you'll always be able to make new friends...or...you'll realize the utter futility of trying to build new friendships knowing that in a few years the chaotic pattern that rules over your pathetic little life will buldoze any social advances you may have made, and you will vow to spend the rest of your days locked up in a house with no TV or phone, where you will eventually waste away without anybody noticing since you have isolated yourself from the outside world, severed all your ties to society, and where you will continute to blame your parents for your meaningless existence.
I'm only joking. It's not the end of the world. You can always try to find a house with cable.

My best friend and I still keep in touch even after she left for Catholic school and I went to public middle school. We've been friends since 3rd or 4th grade and even though I don't see her that much, we still talk on the phone and the internet. We have kept in touch for a couple years now and if you and your friend both want to have that great relationship, I suggest you work out someway to keep in touch. Good luck!
