Please help me before I lose my mind! (Game for the NES question) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know there's a bunch of video gamers in this crowd here...Maybe you could help me. If not...oh well, at least you tried.

I've been struggling to recall the name of this car racing game that was for the NES. They made it in maybe 1988 or 1989. I don't know. I remember both the gameplay and the selection menu screen REALLY well. I just cannot, for the life of me, remember the name.

The menu selection screen is soooo clear in my mind, too...I shall explain.

At the menu selection screen, you got 12 tracks to choose from, plus the options...and so on. The main screen background was of a car...the colors were blue, purple, black and beige...the menu (where you chose the tracks) had a beige background, and you had a cursor that was shaped like a pointing finger hand. The menu was in the upper left corner of the screen...oh yeah, and you could race on all 12 tracks at any time - you didn't need to unlock them or anything. It had the same overhead view (when you were racing) as Micro Machines for the NES.

I remember the cursor thing REALLY well. Please help me!!!

It's REALLY driving me bonkers. I haven't played that game for at least 10 years. I asked my older brother last night (he's the video game expert in the family), and he couldn't remember.

FINALLY found the answer! It was SuperCars for the NES.
