I was pondering the greatest sitcoms of all times and while discussing this with my daughter she said Friends. Now this generation has grown up with shows in which girls have lost their virginity and have degraded themselves for popularity. And where has it gotten us? We have a generation of promiscuous children due to the current status of sitcoms. Now you have to have security programs to keep corruption out of the home. Well what about when Lucy got in the fight with the woman in the grapes? Or when she and Ethel were working the candy assembly line? What was wrong with that? Those were simpler times and more peaceful days. I long for the days when I could leave our doors unlocked without fear of the consequence. That's why I love this message board and that's why I Love Lucy!

You and me both. If we could only just pick a point in time to go back to. i would go back to the 40's Iloved the music and you could go into Woolworth's five and dime and get a Coke for a nickel. People were proud of their country. Cars were cheaper and made sturdy. Today things are taken for granted and things and happiness seem to go down the tubes, not all of it, I guess only now it's difficult to find happiness in such difficult times. Too bad all the values from yesteryear could be restored, and morals accounted for something.

Well I guess that I turned out okay....I am of this generation and I didn't lose my virginity for the sake of popularity or attention. That's actually kinda stupid. I actually only know maybe a couple of people who did and it's only because they said they felt like losers and they wanted to fit in.....then it backfired on them! Kids today!
Haha, just kidding. Lucy definitely gets my vote in any sitcom category. Her shows were the kind of shows that my mom could plunk me down in front of the tube to watch knowing that I wouldn't pick up bad habits or swears....I got the sailor mouth on my own without anyone's help. So here's three cheers for Lucy! Rock on, girl!
