My baby cousin, Simon - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have a baby cousin named Simon who's a year old. Sometimes it seems like he likes everyone but me.
OK, here's the problem:

Obiously everyone wants to hold him every 5 seconds because he's a baby.
Everyone thinks I hog him so they think that's why he doesn't really like me.
But my sisters (who are 10 and 8) hog him ALL THE TIME! It's like they can never leave him alone for a second, they always have to be there to hold him or follow him. And he always wants my 10 year old sister to hold him alot.
It gets annoying! How come he likes them better and they hog him way more than me? Do you think he doesn't like me for some reason?
Sometimes my sisters and cousins get mad at me for holding him even for 2 minutes. They're like, "LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!".
How rude!

What should I do? And how do I make Simon like me more?
Whenever I hold him, he starts to be cranky, but then the second I put him down or give him to someone else, he's fine.

It's a BABY. He doesn't know anything. He doesn't say to himself, "Well, these folks are MUCH cooler, that girl doesn't meet all of my expectations, and therefore I despise her and will not show any respect towards her."

And take the baby-holding conflict on Judge Judy.

i sincerely doubt this means that he REALLY hates you.You can't really tell with babies, they usually feel the most comfortable with their mom.

I don't think your cousin hates you .. he probably makes you mad on purpose, like someone said before, babies can tell when you're tense.
