Thumbs up TV Land kicks @ss!

Man, I am so pumped about this weekend's marathon. TV Land is OBVIOUSLY in tune with what the fans want! Diff'rent Strokes fans have been saying forever how they want to see the 'serious' episodes. And TV Land is showing all of them this weekend!! (The Bicycle Man, Cheers to Arnold, Sam's Missing, Bulimia, & The Hitchhikers). Sure, we can all think of a few others we wouldn't mind seeing that's not in this weekend's lineup, but I am definitely not complaining. The ones I mentioned seem to be the main ones the fans want. TV Land is the VH1 of sitcom channels! They play all the good stuff eventually! Nick At Nite, on the other hand, is the MTV of sitcom channels -- they always disappoint. Hard to believe TV Land and NAN are run by the same people (just like VH1 and MTV).

I Agree! Can't Wait For the Later Episodes (I Think the First Season Is Overplayed, But Recording It Anyway For When It NEVER Plays!)

This is the best marathon tvland has ever had. A whole kick ass marathon of DS, what more could you ask for?!

------------------
Hottest Men alive:
Dale Midkiff
Anthony Starke
Tim McGraw
Jonathan Crombie

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Dale Midkiff is my man!

TV Land exists to clean up for the ****ty-ass (pardon that) decisions that N@N makes...

That, and, like Game Show Network, to let us see classic shows of the past....

whereas, with Nick/N@N, um, you know the crap they've done...

It would make an interesting dissertation for college:

How the Same Company (Viacom I think) Can Own the Praised TV Land, the Campy yet Crappy Slick Nick or N@N, and the Deadly Black Barred TNN All at the Same Time!

Not to mention VH1 And TV (I refuse to write out the M in MTV because Music has been a lottery that, what with Puck and Flora being displayed every few hours; not to mention Genesis <REAL WORLD> and Los <ROAD RULES> )

Tubular to the max as the Valley Girl on CHIPS said to Ponch!

Amen.

Oh, Viacom is equal parts good and evil...

For every great decision they make (TV Land in general, Sci-Fi saving Sliders from Cancellation), it makes about half a dozen major screw-ups (Nick at Nite since 1999, Sci-Fi cancelling Sliders and replacing it with crap....)

And the fact that VH1 is more music than MTV has been in years.....

Eventhough I like VH-1 they made a crappy decision by cutting the BEST OF AMERICAN BANDSTAND and for not showing the BEST OF SOUL TRAIN or SOLID GOLD
