he would have looked more closer to Florida age than looking like her son-lol James looked about 53 when he played the role of one Fred Sanford's buddies but looked 20 years younger when he started playing the role of Florida's Husband. James looked like Florida's son and Thelma, Michael, and J.J looked like her grandchildren

According to the IMBD, John Amos was born 27 December 1939 and Jimmy Walker was born 25 June 1947. There are only eight years between them! Esther Rolle was born 8 November 1920.
