Default Classic DAYS on SoapNet in August

I hope these "classic" episodes are actually CLASSIC episodes & not from the past couple years.

From TVGuide.com:

SOAPNET KEEPS ITS DAYS
Days of Our Lives will be preempted for summer Olympics coverage Aug. 16-27, but Soapnet is keeping the antics in Salem alive with "Days Decathlon." The network will feature 10 classic episodes selected by Days' cast members, who offer commentary at the beginning of each show. The event kicks off with Melissa Reeves' (Jennifer) pick, Jack saving Jennifer's life, and closes with a special Christmas episode highlighting several Days supercouples. The Decathlon airs at 7 pm/ET and PT.

That's awesome! I agree, hopefully it will be REAL classics and not ones from a year ago, or 3 years ago, and so on. I'd like to see some 80's/early 90's episodes.

Somebody posted this at the AOL DAYS Spoilers board.

EPISODES: August 16 - *Melissa Reeves' Pick* Jack saves Jennifer's
life. The sexual tension builds later when he
washes her back while helping her bathe.

August 17 - *Matt Ashford's Pick* Jack prepares a special Valentine
breakfast for Jennifer including Abby dressed as Cupid. Jennifer moved
by the event, dresses as Santa and proposes to Jack.

August 18 - *Alison Sweeney's Pick* Sami is in prison awaiting execution
by lethal injection, Lucas bursts in to admit he killed Franco.

August 19 - *Bryan Datillo's Pick* Lucas escapes a helicopter crash with
minor injuries while Sami is seriously injured.

August 20 - *Kyle Lowder's Pick* Brady escapes a rattlesnake bite only
to have Roman and Abe draw a gun on him later that day.

August 23 - *Arianne Zuker's Pick* - Nicole yells at her father to die.

August 24 - *Peter Reckell's Pick* - Bo beats up John after seeing him
kiss Hope at Lexie's Christmas party. Hope has princess Gina
flashbacks.

August 25 - *James Reynolds' Pick* Abe catches Lexi giving a reporter
information on Bo and Hope.

August 26 - *Kristian Alfonso's Pick* Glen and Barb arrive to take JT to
Iowa. The Bradys and Hortons try to come to terms with the loss of JT.
Bo, Hope and Shawn work at finding a way to deal with their loss.

August 27 - *Super-couple Show* Christmas episode with Jack and
Jennifer, Marlena and John and Bo and Hope.

I am so disappointed. I don't think there is a single episode on there that is more than 6 years old. It looks like a couple of them are from last year even. I was hoping for some real oldies from the 80's or early 90's

That's not too bad, and it's the actors' picks, so maybe those particular episodes are their favs.

Arent the Jack and Jen ones from the early 90's? Or is that when they came back this time?

I think the one where Jack saves Jen is from when he saved her (and JT of course but he fell in) from that bridge.

And the one where Jen proposes was from last year I think.

Minor changes have been made to the schedule.

I'm definitely looking forward to Missy and Ali's picks. I'll watch some of the others; it's too bad they didn't have more older episodes.
