Angry Some people are beyond pathetic

I mean really, sometimes I am horrified by the things some people say. On another message board, there's this really insensitive poster. Well, another girl posted a thread about how her 18 year old brother had commited suicide yesterday. The girl was distraught and just wanted some sympathy, soothing words and cyber hugs. But THEN Insensitive Biatch enters the thread and starts spouting her mouth off about just what she thinks of people who commit sucide, calling Grieving Girls brother a coward and going on about how she hopes God will allow Grieving Girl's brother to go to Heaven but clearly hinting that she doubts God will and blah blah blah.

Grieving Girl and some other board members called biatch up on her comments but Insensitive Biatch replies that she was just stating her opinion and that Grieving Girl and others could've ignored her if they'd wanted. I was appauled! Granted it is a public message board and anyone can reply but MY GOD! Sometimes people need to THINK for a minute and NOT speak, you know?

Don't you just hate people who act like that? They make me want beat them round the head with a brick in frustration.

it's true that suicide is not the answer but that still was mean.

Emile Durkheim's Suicide reveals that suicide rates within societies are more constant than death rates (that is - deaths unrelated to suicide). Obviously suicide is connected to social pressures - it's not only about individual impulses. You can't simply condemn the suicide victim. Society at large is to blame.

Apparently the bitch didn't realize that thread was not titled, "What do you think about suicide?"

I agree completely, I think that the teenage depression, self masochism, and eating disorder rates are ridiculous.

This society will collapse by the end of my life time.

I still havnt decided whether I should work to bring that about or not

All I can say is this person has no right to criticize this person who committed suicide. people do this because depression and anxiety is running rampant. Suicide is rising and the last thing that should be done is attack people who were troubled.

That's terrible. I think people sometimes fail to realize that behind every screen name there is a real person, with real feelings.

Well said.

There is a time for giving your opinions about a topic and a time to keep your mouth shut.

To me, suicide is not the best answer, but if you are pushed to the edge nonstop and have social problems that cannot be fixed and certain conditions, then suicide is a personal decision and is 100% acceptable. Plus if someone commits suicide who's business is it? Theirs.

Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?
