Just the Ten of Us Episode Guide
Season One[list=1][*]Move It or Lose It: The whole family is very discouraged about moving to California. Nobody except JR is optimistic about the move. When they arrive there, they are shocked at the appearance of the house. Coach Lubbock then goes to meet his employer at the school where he finds out he was hired out of mercy. Coach Lubbock gets discouraged and wants the whole family to move back to New York. His employer and former student Duane gives him some positive advice, and convinces him to stay in California.

Some of the kids/Coach are anxious, while others aren’t so optimistic about it. When Coach gets to school he finds out he won’t be teaching English, but he’ll be teaching classes like Spanish and Latin. The girls have had a very bad day. JR made up a huge story about his dad killing someone just to watch them die, and now Coach thinks that everyone is respecting him when they are actually afraid of him. Father Hargis comes by and is just about scared out his mind. The truth is revealed, and at the end Elizabeth and Graham start dancing to “La Bamba”.

He is trying to figure out who sent the money. He goes to Duane thinking that he is the one who sent the money, but it wasn’t Duane. Elizabeth drills the girls to tell what happened and it turns out that Cindy raffled herself off for a date.

Much to the dismay of the rest of the kids, Marie is left in charge. Marie, gives up with the kids, and the girls invite a few guys over. Things get way out of control, and the house is trashed. In the meantime, the camping trip isn’t exactly a success especially since Elizabeth got called a “Baby Machine”. So Elizabeth and Coach Lubbock leave early, and return to find their house destroyed. Elizabeth and Coach Lubbock decide to camp outside in their backyard, and pretend that the day never happened.

Season Two

(5)Strangers in the Night: Wendy comes in late from a date on a school night. A note is passed in Coach Lubbock’s class saying that a guy made out with “the hottest Lubbock babe” for two hours. Coach is of course enraged, and Elizabeth thinks he is jumping to conclusions. Wendy is busted, but at the same time Connie is found to have also been kissing another boy, and that shocks the whole family. Each girl is taught their lesson, and Coach Lubbock convinces Wendy that he has a sixth sense about knowing what she is doing at all of the time. Wendy of course believes it, and Connie is told to come to her mom about any decisions she makes.

(6)She Works Hard for the Money: The girls are off looking for a job. Wendy struggles to find one because she gets wrapped up in shopping. Instead of finding a job, Marie would rather volunteer. Connie has to work at a slaughter house (meat place), and Cindy is working at Eureka Health Center. Cindy is working there because of the way she looks, yet she doesn’t realize this until it is pointed out to her. The man she was working for replaces her immediately, and Cindy is crushed at how she was treated. Coach Lubbock has a chat with her, and makes her feel a lot better. However at the end, in true Cindy behavior, she gets another job based on her looks.

(7)Voice of God: Elizabeth has a talk with God. Elizabeth shares this with the family, and the family kind of thinks she is crazy. Graham especially doesn’t believe her. Even Father Hargis is skeptical of this. Elizabeth drags everyone outside so they can all talk to God. In the meantime, a tree falls through the roof, and that tree would have killed Coach Lubbock. The first day there is a huge frenzy around the house. Graham makes everyone come out and pray with Elizabeth. In the end they all leave, but Elizabeth is faithful to pray with God.

(8)The Dinner Test: The news is let out that Wendy has a date with someone named Bill. Bill is 23 so Wendy finds someone who can pretend to be Bill. That way Bill will pass Coach Lubbock’s dinner test. The dinner test is Graham’s way of finding out who he will allow to date his daughters. Graham’s a little upset that Wendy’s fake date is doing so well on his test. In the end, Wendy starts to like the pretend Bill, but being Wendy she just shrugs it off and goes out with the 23 year old.

(9)Coach’s Court: Graham falls through the railing, and is convinced that it wasn’t him who broke it. Graham has his own court titled, “Coach’s Court”. Each kid gives a little piece of the story, and gradually we get to know what happened. Apparently JR wanted to beat-up the top boxer who made a pass at Marie, but instead Marie socked him. Turns out that Marie and Warren (the guy who made a pass at her) turned out to like each other. Then, JR tries to pick a fight with Warren when Marie knocks him over the railing. That’s how the railing got broken. At the end, they do a funny “Dragnet” style closing saying who’s guilty and what their punishment is.

(10)The Merry Mix Up: Wendy and Cindy try to get into a night club. In order to get into the night club, Wendy takes Elizabeth’s ID and Cindy takes Marie’s ID. Cindy gets in with Marie’s ID, but Wendy blows her cover. Marie, on the other hand is tutoring Father Hargis’ nephew. Cindy meets someone at the nightclub, who thinks she is named Marie. So Cindy’s date brings her flowers, but addresses them to Marie (since he thinks that is her name). This causes a confusion at the Lubbock house because they think Marie took someone away from “God”. In the meantime Graham talks to this supposed “priest in training”, however he is talking to Cindy’s nightclub date, not Father Hargis’ nephew. The whole situation finally gets straightened out at the end, but it is a huge misunderstanding! If you understood the guide for this episode, then great job!

(11)The Unkindest Cut of All: Graham is trying his best to get out of his physical, and is getting annoyed that Elizabeth and everyone else is calling him a weasel. Graham is healthy as a horse, except he does have to have a little operation. He tries to keep this from the girls, but they inadvertently find out when someone calls the house about his surgery. Marie and Connie think he is going to die. The news gets around St Augie’s, and soon everyone thinks Coach is going to die. Everyone finds out about Coach’s condition, and that he isn’t going to die. They all get upset for making such a big deal out of it, and Graham is very embarrassed.

(12)A Christmas Story: Graham buys a church organ for Elizabeth. When the transmission goes out on the car, they have to find some way to pay for it. Duane suggests that he sales his car. He has Gavin sale it and he sales it to Father Hargis. Father Hargis finds out that the transmission is broken. When he comes over, he tells them he doesn’t want the car (not knowing that the girls had it fixed). Anyway, Father Hargis sits down and plays a tune on Elizabeth’s new organ, and the entire cast sings along.

(13)Personal Best: The girls are finally allowed to participate in Physical Education at St. Augie’s. Graham finds out that Wendy can run very fast, and really wants her to join the team. JR has been training and training to make the team. JR makes the team, but Wendy also makes the team and Wendy gets all of the attention. JR is really upset because he just wants his dad to notice him, so he comes up with a scheme to get Wendy to want to quit. His scheme falls short though, so he and Wendy have a little “match” during the first match. JR and Wendy tie for first place.

(14)Song of Constance: Connie turns her writing in so it will be part of St. Augie’s literary journal. Father Hargis and Coach Graham think it is pornography. Duane and Sister Cyril think it is nothing of the sort. Connie publishes it herself, and distributes it around school. Marie is totally offended by it. Elizabeth shows Graham a poem he wrote years ago that was kind of racy, and he realizes his mistake. He tells Connie that he made a mistake, and Connie accepts his apology. Connie starts writing a story about her dad.

(15)Head of the Class: It’s report card day in the Lubbock house. No one, but Sherry is excited about this. Wendy has done horrible on her report card, and Graham tells her that she is a genius. This is not true, but Graham is just telling her this to inspire her to work harder. Sherry finds out that she didn’t score a genius on her IQ test, and is very disappointed. Now Sherry is extremely paranoid about becoming an average student. Sherry learns not to let this IQ test effect her way of thinking.

(16)Dream Girls: It’s the beginning of the Lubbock Babes! The older Lubbock sisters record the song “Rock Around the Clock”. The girls are great singers, but Graham thinks that the girls shouldn’t get carried away. The Lubbock Babes debut at the local pizza parlor, and are instantly popular. They are then asked to sing at the pizza parlor for money. They get Marie to sneak out and take the car so they can go to their job. Graham finds his car stolen, and calls the cops. Sherry knows where the car is, and tells them. So they go down to the pizza parlor (Duane gives them a ride), only to find the girls are actually good singers.

(17)A Day in the Life: Wendy gets suspended from school for three days for cutting classes. In exchange for her being suspended, Wendy has to do all of her mom’s household chores (if she does them in one day she can relax for the other two days). Wendy thinks that this will be a breeze, especially since she found ways to “cheat” her way out of it. However, she gets caught by Elizabeth and finally tries to do all of the chores. Elizabeth asks Wendy to do a few simple things, and Wendy loses Harvey. On her suspension, Wendy does learn a lot of responsibility.

(18)Zorn en el Gallinero: Show starts out with Coach Graham learning that he will be hosting a Spanish boy hoping that this “sports star” will come to St. Augustine. Girls hoard over him when he comes, and Sherry is the only one that knows how to speak with him. However, this kid knows how to speak English, though he doesn’t let anyone know. This Spanish kid takes advantage of all of the older girls, but eventually gets caught. Graham threw him out of the house, and at the end he admits that he was just seeing if St. Augustine would be the right place for him. Turns out he will go to St. Augustine’s.

(19)Car in the Pool: Marie rams Father Hargis’ car into the swimming pool, and then they flee the scene. Marie and Wendy argue about who hit the car. Coach Lubbock then notices the red paint on his bumper. The girls get a scare knocked into them when a cop knocks on the door selling tickets to the Policeman’s ball (they think he is there to arrest them). Father Hargis flips out when he finds out his car is at the bottom of pool. The girls wind up getting “arrested”, and in the meantime they are getting watched through a two way mirror. To teach the girls a lesson (and get one to confess), Coach Lubbock pretends that he is going to jail. Eventually they all confess, and their lesson is learned.

(20)The Critic: The episode starts with the news that Connie will be writing a review of the school play (the play is directed by Coach Lubbock) for the school newspaper. Connie has a tough decision to make because she thinks that the play stinks, but she doesn’t want to offend her father. She has a chat with her dad, and writes a horrible review about the play. Elizabeth read the review, and gets enraged at the review she wrote. Then Connie writes a good review of the play. Coach Lubbock reads both reviews, and somehow the bad one gets in the newspaper. Coach Lubbock, doesn’t get offended too much by the review, but is glad that Connie told the truth.

(21)The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The girls are out to a dance. At the dance Marie meets a guy she’s interested in. When they get home Elizabeth and Coach Graham are watching their favorite show, after “Mr. Belvedere”. LOL! Cindy, Wendy, and Connie tell Marie that she shouldn’t date a dork. Unfortunately, Marie takes their advice. Elizabeth tells Marie a story from her teenage years, and they have a “heart to heart”. Marie makes the right decision and goes on the date.

(22)Radio Days: Show starts with Coach Lubbock being interviewed on a radio show, where the interviewer lies about him on the airwaves. The family is outraged at this. However the person that was interviewing Coach Lubbock was fired, making an opening for a new radio personality. Cindy wants to go out for the radio job, but nobody thinks she can. Cindy got the job, but thinks that she got it only because her father put in a good word for her. Turns out, Coach Lubbock didn’t get around to talking to Father Bud.

(23)Puberty Blues: The show starts out with JR trying to pull a prank on the girls. A girl scout then comes selling cookies at their door. JR has a crush this girl, and coaxes her into coming back by buying cookies but not giving her all of the money. Graham tries to give JR tips about how “men like to be in charge”. Then JR decides to go and ask all of his sisters for help with the girls he likes. JR get the courage to invite this girl over for dinner. Throughout the evening Coach is asking Pamela (the “girl scout”) ridiculous questions. Eventually JR gets extremely embarrassed and rushes upstairs, where his date Pamela comes up and works things out. At the end JR and Coach chat about making sacrifices for women.

(24)Rock and Roll Fantasy: The Lubbock Babes have been singing at the pizza parlor for eight weeks now. They are getting tired of performing in front of a bunch of locals. Each girl dreams about what would happen if they were famous. Connie dreams about singing in Paris, and living the life of a celebrity. Also in Connie’s dream Graham quits his job, Wendy is hospitalized, Cindy turned to drinking, and Marie became a Protestant. Wendy dreams that she preforms in Vegas, and moves onto starring in her own sitcom. Sherry briefly dreams of becoming a Lubbock Babe. Marie dreams of being able to be able to cheer up the Pope by singing for him. Cindy dreams that she marries the perfect husband, and then she has triplets. At the end the Lubbock Babes realize that they never want to quit singing at the pizza parlor.

Season Three

(25)Betrayal: Coach, Elizabeth, JR, and Sherry go to a drive-in, Cindy and Wendy go out on dates, and Marie and Connie stay home. While at the movies Coach (after saying he isn’t effected by horror movies) throws up all over the place which disgusts Sherry, but JR doesn’t mind a bit. Cindy’s date last night (Cort) tells her that he’ll take her to a concert. Just before the concert, he calls and cancels on Cindy, but goes out with Wendy. After Marie trying to clue in Cindy all night long, Cindy finally sees that Wendy went out with her boyfriend. Marie comes up with an idea to teach Wendy a lesson by Cindy trying to seduce Wendy’s boyfriend. This just erupts in a huge fight amongst the sisters. Then Wendy and Cindy decide that they were better off without listening to Connie and Marie.

(26)Quarterback Sneak: Coach Lubbock’s new starter quarterback is what is going to lead the hippos to victory. This quarterback (Todd) has a huge crush on Wendy. He plays extremely well and goes out on a date with Wendy. However Wendy doesn’t want to see him anymore, but doesn’t have the nerve to tell him. Marie tells him that Wendy doesn’t want to go out with him anymore. Todd is disappointed and plays horribly. Graham has to do something about it, so he asks Wendy to go out on a date with him (he claims it is “God’s Plan). This works, and Todd plays very well the next game (too well). So he tell Wendy that she can’t go out with him. The problem is that Wendy actually likes him now, and doesn’t want to stop going out with him. Elizabeth comes in, and finds out and gets enraged at Graham. Graham promises never to meddle in Wendy’s love life, but the next second he is out there yelling at Todd.

(27)Who Cut the Cheese: The food bank that Elizabeth volunteers at has give the Lubbocks food because they make so little money per year. In order to pick up a little cash, Graham picks up a job at Burger Barn. His supervisor (assistant manager) is Gavin Doosler. Connie is the only one who knows that Graham works at Burger Barn, and he wants to keep it that way. Everyone else finds out, and Graham thinks it is Wendy (who just went to the drive through), but Elizabeth found out before from the stains in Graham’s clothes.

(28)Risky Business: JR starts a fight with Sherry, and in the process the break Elizabeth’s best China. Coach Lubbock brings all of the kids into town to sale their candy. JR and Sherry go to the China store and find out that all of the China they need cost $185! In order to come up with the money. Sherry comes up with an idea to sale the candy bars for $2.00 instead of the $1.00 that they are supposed to sale the candy bars for. Everything goes off without a hitch, right? Wrong. JR picks up the wrong pattern, thinking that he could afford better ones because they made more money. Elizabeth thinks Graham bought her new Chinaware. Father Hargis and Father Bud come by to congratulate them on selling so many chocolate bars! However, Father Hargis finds out that the kids sold the chocolate bars for more than $1.00. Father Hargis gets a bright idea thinking he can sell them for $6.00 next year and leaves. While Elizabeth makes JR and Sherry wash the dishes.

(29)A Couple of Sweets: After Hooter goes to the vet and finds out he needs to go on a diet, Elizabeth encourages Graham to go on a diet. Cindy is also on a diet. So they decide to diet together! Graham tries to stick to the diet, but he really wants an ice cream or a hamburger. However Elizabeth has given pictures of Graham all over town so no one will give him food. Graham goes to the school, and eats all of their food. Elizabeth forgives him, and says she’ll always support him.

(30)Simple Gifts: The church is in need of a choir, and Elizabeth volunteers to take charge and get it going. Elizabeth takes this position hoping that her girls “Lubbock Babes” would like to be a part of it. Elizabeth holds auditions at her house, and finally gets the choir that she wants. However, during practice she gets so frustrated and says that anyone who wants to socialize or are being there because they have to believe. After she has a talk with Graham she realizes that she was wrong, and that it wasn’t important why they were there but that they were just there. At mass Elizabeth sings alone, and then her family comes up and joins her, friends also come up.

(31)That Championship Season: Coach Lubbock and his football team make it to the championships. Graham goes to grade the tests only to find out that his star quarterback, has failed his exam. Graham can’t decide what to do. At the very last minute, Coach decided to the right thing and pull Murphy (star quarterback) out of the game. To replace him they put in Gavin Doosler. The whole school, including Father Hargis are angry at Graham. The only one pleased with his decision is Elizabeth. Elizabeth presents Graham with his own trophy.

(32)Dangerous Liason: After performing at the pizza place, a strange man (not to Wendy) offers her beer. This man takes Wendy out for a ride. However, during their ride they stop and this man robs a convenience store. Wendy of course had nothing to do with this, though it does look like she did. Fortunately there was a surveillance camera, and that proved that Wendy was not guilty. Wendy and Graham try to pound through Wendy’s head that what she did was absolutely wrong. Wendy keeps making things worse by opening her mouth when she shouldn’t. At the end of the night, Wendy finally gets her wrongs, and realizes that her parents are just there to help and guide her.

(33)St Augie’s Blues (1): Connie is trying to write an article about Janitor Bob, and in the meantime Graham is upset that Father Hargis is getting so many new things, while the school teachers need a raise. Graham is persuasive to get a raise, and Father Hargis finally gives in. Graham gets his raise! Connie is having trouble with her article. Graham tells his family that there will be a 10% increase. Sherry tells Connie that she should write a story on the tuition increase. She does this, and everyone is in an uproar about this! Connie is so obsessed about getting an article in the newspaper, she starts spying on her dad while him and teachers are talking. In turn of these recent events, Father Hargis finds a realtor to sell the house. Graham thinks that this is all a joke, but when he confronts Father Hargis, Father Hargis tells him that this is no joke.

(34)St. Augie’s Blues (2): Graham breaks the news to the kids that they are losing the house. Everyone in the family turns against Connie. Connie writes another article that just gets the whole family even more in trouble. From Connie’s article, the teacher’s turn against Graham. Father Hargis throws together a Parent-Teacher Summit. During this time a fight breaks out, and Connie decides to go in and make a tearful apology. Connie realizes that she was just doing this for her own good, and didn’t think about anyone else around her. This apology brings both sides together (the teachers and parents). The Lubbocks do not have to sale their house!

They tell him Doosler is dying. In the meantime, Lumberjack days are here, and Graham has to dress up in a costume. JR is making fun of Graham having to do this, so Graham makes him wear a costume too. They all get out of the house without their parents suspecting a thing (however that surprises me since Cindy was wearing summer clothes...LOL). The girls arrive safely and are all ready to have a good time (besides Marie).

Knowing how Sister Ethel is, Graham and Elizabeth believe them. They almost get away with it until someone “Benito” calls for the girls from the Virgin Islands. Marie is just so confused, and wants to know what God wants of her. Elizabeth tells her to lighten up, and that God doesn’t always shout.

Graham is worried about not making something of himself, and JR is feeling down because he is not getting any attention at home. To get attention, JR spray painted on the side of St. Augie’s gym. He sprayed up and down and all around covering the whole side wall. Graham makes JR scrub the whole wall until the spray paint is off. After talking with Elizabeth, Graham realizes how JR must have felt not getting the attention. Graham realizes that his mark on the world is his kids.

Graham’s suspicions are confirmed when he finds the cigarettes in Wendy’s purse. However, JR had put them there after finding them in Sherry’s bag. Sherry confesses, but no one believes her. Graham and Elizabeth finally believe her. Sherry says that she just wanted to be treated as a teenager (like Wendy).

At the end Graham is happy about the cow, and is excited that cow had a calf. Also Graham decides not to kill the cow, and keep them instead. ]

While at the movies Coach (after saying he isn’t effected by horror movies) throws up all over the place which disgusts Sherry, but JR doesn’t mind a bit. Cindy’s date last night (Cort) tells her that he’ll take her to a concert. Just before the concert, he calls and cancels on Cindy, but goes out with Wendy. After Marie trying to clue in Cindy all night long, Cindy finally sees that Wendy went out with her boyfriend. Marie comes up with an idea to teach Wendy a lesson by Cindy trying to seduce Wendy’s boyfriend. This just erupts in a huge fight amongst the sisters. Then Wendy and Cindy decide that they were better off without listening to Connie and Marie. GS: Bryan Genesse (Blitz) Brian L. Green (Cort Andrews) (26)Quarterback Sneak: Coach Lubbock’s new starter quarterback is what is going to lead the hippos to victory. This quarterback (Todd) has a huge crush on Wendy. He plays extremely well and goes out on a date with Wendy. However Wendy doesn’t want to see him anymore, but doesn’t have the nerve to tell him. Marie tells him that Wendy doesn’t want to go out with him anymore. Todd is disappointed and plays horribly. Graham has to do something about it, so he asks Wendy to go out on a date with him (he claims it is “God’s Plan). This works, and Todd plays very well the next game (too well). So he tell Wendy that she can’t go out with him. The problem is that Wendy actually likes him now, and doesn’t want to stop going out with him. Elizabeth comes in, and finds out and gets enraged at Graham. Graham promises never to meddle in Wendy’s love life, but the next second he is out there yelling at Todd. Cindy keeps trying to push him away, and he doesn’t get the message. To get him away, Cindy broke his arm. Derek still comes on to her, after all of this. Because of this, Cindy breaks his other arm. After a talk with Graham Wendy feels worse, but Elizabeth talk to her and makes her feel better. GS: Brandon Douglas (Derek) Miguel Marcott (Waiter) (44)Heartbreaker: While the Lubbock Babe’s are singing at the pizzeria a man collapses dad in front of Marie. Marie is devastated, and feels really bad even though it wasn’t her fault. What makes things worse is that this guy left everything to Marie. After a talk with Elizabeth, Marie feels that she is there to please men. Again, after going back to sing, she starts a brawl. Marie is just so confused, and wants to know what God wants of her. Elizabeth tells her to lighten up, and that God doesn’t always shout. GS: Johnny Dark (Danny) Jim Jansen (Mr. Skinner) Beans Morocco (Mourner) Norman Friedman (Rick Potter) (45)Ratboy Lives: Graham tries to get his affairs in order, but the lawyer tells him that he has nothing. Graham finds out that his estate is worth: $287.00 (minus $100 for the lawyer costs). Graham is worried about not making something of himself, and JR is feeling down because he is not getting any attention at home. To get attention, JR spray painted on the side of St. Augie’s gym. He sprayed up and down and all around covering the whole side wall. Graham makes JR scrub the whole wall until the spray paint is off. After talking with Elizabeth, Graham realizes how JR must have felt not getting the attention. Graham realizes that his mark on the world is his kids. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Jim Hanson (Mr. Skinner) Michael Gilbert Lewis (Cop) (46)Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em: Graham finds a cigarette in the basement, and wonders who it is. He won’t let any of the kids do anything until one of them gives a full confession. Graham thinks it’s Wendy right off the bat. Each child is suspected, except for Sherry. Each child (aside from Sherry) is drilled with questions. Graham’s suspicions are confirmed when he finds the cigarettes in Wendy’s purse. However, JR had put them there after finding them in Sherry’s bag. Sherry confesses, but no one believes her. Graham and Elizabeth finally believe her. Sherry says that she just wanted to be treated as a teenager (like Wendy). GS: Christopher Blane Wolf (Alex) Jason Korstjens (Harvey Lubbock) (47)Slaughterhouse 10: Graham and JR bring home a cow to have butchered. All of the girls want to keep the cow alive, so the devise a plan. They decide to get the cow pregnant. The cow does get pregnant, and they don’t know how to tell Graham. Graham is disgusted when he finds out the she was pregnant. At the end Graham is happy about the cow, and is excited that cow had a calf. Nobody except JR is optimistic about the move. When they arrive there, they are shocked at the appearance of the house. Coach Lubbock then goes to meet his employer at the school where he finds out he was hired out of mercy. Coach Lubbock gets discouraged and wants the whole family to move back to New York. His employer and former student Duane gives him some positive advice, and convinces him to stay in California. Some of the kids/Coach are anxious, while others aren’t so optimistic about it. When Coach gets to school he finds out he won’t be teaching English, but he’ll be teaching classes like Spanish and Latin. The girls have had a very bad day. JR made up a huge story about his dad killing someone just to watch them die, and now Coach thinks that everyone is respecting him when they are actually afraid of him. Father Hargis comes by and is just about scared out his mind. The truth is revealed, and at the end Elizabeth and Graham start dancing to “La Bamba”. Elizabeth drills the girls to tell what happened and it turns out that Cindy raffled herself off for a date. Much to the dismay of the rest of the kids, Marie is left in charge. Marie, gives up with the kids, and the girls invite a few guys over. Things get way out of control, and the house is trashed. In the meantime, the camping trip isn’t exactly a success especially since Elizabeth got called a “Baby Machine”. So Elizabeth and Coach Lubbock leave early, and return to find their house destroyed. Elizabeth and Coach Lubbock decide to camp outside in their backyard, and pretend that the day never happened. A note is passed in Coach Lubbock’s class saying that a guy made out with “the hottest Lubbock babe” for two hours. Coach is of course enraged, and Elizabeth thinks he is jumping to conclusions. Wendy is busted, but at the same time Connie is found to have also been kissing another boy, and that shocks the whole family. Each girl is taught their lesson, and Coach Lubbock convinces Wendy that he has a sixth sense about knowing what she is doing at all of the time. Wendy of course believes it, and Connie is told to come to her mom about any decisions she makes. GS: Evan Arnold (Doosler) Eric Matthew (Peterman) (6)She Works Hard for the Money: The girls are off looking for a job. Wendy struggles to find one because she gets wrapped up in shopping. Instead of finding a job, Marie would rather volunteer. Connie has to work at a slaughter house (meat place), and Cindy is working at Eureka Health Center. Cindy is working there because of the way she looks, yet she doesn’t realize this until it is pointed out to her. The man she was working for replaces her immediately, and Cindy is crushed at how she was treated. Coach Lubbock has a chat with her, and makes her feel a lot better. However at the end, in true Cindy behavior, she gets another job based on her looks. GS: Dick DeCoit (Spud) Matthew Faison (Mr. Lorenzo) Lance Wilson-White (Boy) Eric Freeman (Poco) Kelly Mullis (Girl) (7)Voice of God: Elizabeth has a talk with God. Elizabeth shares this with the family, and the family kind of thinks she is crazy. Graham especially doesn’t believe her. Even Father Hargis is skeptical of this. Elizabeth drags everyone outside so they can all talk to God. In the meantime, a tree falls through the roof, and that tree would have killed Coach Lubbock. The first day there is a huge frenzy around the house. Graham makes everyone come out and pray with Elizabeth. In the end they all leave, but Elizabeth is faithful to pray with God. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Dennis Haysbert (Duane) (8)The Dinner Test: The news is let out that Wendy has a date with someone named Bill. Bill is 23 so Wendy finds someone who can pretend to be Bill. That way Bill will pass Coach Lubbock’s dinner test. The dinner test is Graham’s way of finding out who he will allow to date his daughters. Graham’s a little upset that Wendy’s fake date is doing so well on his test. In the end, Wendy starts to like the pretend Bill, but being Wendy she just shrugs it off and goes out with the 23 year old. GS: Matthew L. Perry (Ed) Phillip Linton (Sky) (9)Coach’s Court: Graham falls through the railing, and is convinced that it wasn’t him who broke it. Graham has his own court titled, “Coach’s Court”. Each kid gives a little piece of the story, and gradually we get to know what happened. Apparently JR wanted to beat-up the top boxer who made a pass at Marie, but instead Marie socked him. Turns out that Marie and Warren (the guy who made a pass at her) turned out to like each other. Then, JR tries to pick a fight with Warren when Marie knocks him over the railing. That’s how the railing got broken. At the end, they do a funny “Dragnet” style closing saying who’s guilty and what their punishment is. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Moosie Drier (Warren) Evan Arnold (Gavin Doosler) Dwayne Alexandre’ (Boxer #1) Casey Storm (Guy) (10)The Merry Mix Up: Wendy and Cindy try to get into a night club. In order to get into the night club, Wendy takes Elizabeth’s ID and Cindy takes Marie’s ID. Cindy gets in with Marie’s ID, but Wendy blows her cover. Marie, on the other hand is tutoring Father Hargis’ nephew. Cindy meets someone at the nightclub, who thinks she is named Marie. So Cindy’s date brings her flowers, but addresses them to Marie (since he thinks that is her name). This causes a confusion at the Lubbock house because they think Marie took someone away from “God”. In the meantime Graham talks to this supposed “priest in training”, however he is talking to Cindy’s nightclub date, not Father Hargis’ nephew. The whole situation finally gets straightened out at the end, but it is a huge misunderstanding! If you understood the guide for this episode, then great job! GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Manfred Melcher (Damion) David Coburn (Buddy) (11)The Unkindest Cut of All: Graham is trying his best to get out of his physical, and is getting annoyed that Elizabeth and everyone else is calling him a weasel. Graham is healthy as a horse, except he does have to have a little operation. He tries to keep this from the girls, but they inadvertently find out when someone calls the house about his surgery. Marie and Connie think he is going to die. The news gets around St Augie’s, and soon everyone thinks Coach is going to die. Everyone finds out about Coach’s condition, and that he isn’t going to die. They all get upset for making such a big deal out of it, and Graham is very embarrassed. When the transmission goes out on the car, they have to find some way to pay for it. Duane suggests that he sales his car. He has Gavin sale it and he sales it to Father Hargis. Father Hargis finds out that the transmission is broken. When he comes over, he tells them he doesn’t want the car (not knowing that the girls had it fixed). Anyway, Father Hargis sits down and plays a tune on Elizabeth’s new organ, and the entire cast sings along. Graham finds out that Wendy can run very fast, and really wants her to join the team. JR has been training and training to make the team. JR makes the team, but Wendy also makes the team and Wendy gets all of the attention. JR is really upset because he just wants his dad to notice him, so he comes up with a scheme to get Wendy to want to quit. His scheme falls short though, so he and Wendy have a little “match” during the first match. JR and Wendy tie for first place. GS: Dennis Haysbert (Duane) Maxine Elliott (Sister Ethel) . (14)Song of Constance: Connie turns her writing in so it will be part of St. Augie’s literary journal. Father Hargis and Coach Graham think it is pornography. Duane and Sister Cyril think it is nothing of the sort. Connie publishes it herself, and distributes it around school. Marie is totally offended by it. Elizabeth shows Graham a poem he wrote years ago that was kind of racy, and he realizes his mistake. He tells Connie that he made a mistake, and Connie accepts his apology. Connie starts writing a story about her dad. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Dennis Haysbert (Duane Johnson) Evan Arnold (Gavin Doosler) Herta Ware (Sister Cyril) (15)Head of the Class: It’s report card day in the Lubbock house. No one, but Sherry is excited about this. Wendy has done horrible on her report card, and Graham tells her that she is a genius. This is not true, but Graham is just telling her this to inspire her to work harder. Sherry finds out that she didn’t score a genius on her IQ test, and is very disappointed. Now Sherry is extremely paranoid about becoming an average student. Sherry learns not to let this IQ test effect her way of thinking. GS: Maxine Elliott (Sister Ethel) (16)Dream Girls: It’s the beginning of the Lubbock Babes! The older Lubbock sisters record the song “Rock Around the Clock”. The girls are great singers, but Graham thinks that the girls shouldn’t get carried away. The Lubbock Babes debut at the local pizza parlor, and are instantly popular. They are then asked to sing at the pizza parlor for money. They get Marie to sneak out and take the car so they can go to their job. Graham finds his car stolen, and calls the cops. Sherry knows where the car is, and tells them. So they go down to the pizza parlor (Duane gives them a ride), only to find the girls are actually good singers. GS: Dennis Haysbert (Duane) Johnny Dark (Danny) David Hall (Max) Michael Gilbert Lewis (Policeman) Rich Reinhart (Rich) (17)A Day in the Life: Wendy gets suspended from school for three days for cutting classes. In exchange for her being suspended, Wendy has to do all of her mom’s household chores (if she does them in one day she can relax for the other two days). Wendy thinks that this will be a breeze, especially since she found ways to “cheat” her way out of it. However, she gets caught by Elizabeth and finally tries to do all of the chores. Elizabeth asks Wendy to do a few simple things, and Wendy loses Harvey. On her suspension, Wendy does learn a lot of responsibility. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Diane Delano (Sister Urban) Maxine Elliott (Sister Ethel) (18)Zorn en el Gallinero: Show starts out with Coach Graham learning that he will be hosting a Spanish boy hoping that this “sports star” will come to St. Augustine. Girls hoard over him when he comes, and Sherry is the only one that knows how to speak with him. However, this kid knows how to speak English, though he doesn’t let anyone know. This Spanish kid takes advantage of all of the older girls, but eventually gets caught. Graham threw him out of the house, and at the end he admits that he was just seeing if St. Augustine would be the right place for him. Turns out he will go to St. Augustine’s. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Rawley Valverde (Carlos) Evan Arnold (Gavin Doosler) Holly Haber (Sister Adolf) (19)Car in the Pool: Marie rams Father Hargis’ car into the swimming pool, and then they flee the scene. Marie and Wendy argue about who hit the car. Coach Lubbock then notices the red paint on his bumper. The girls get a scare knocked into them when a cop knocks on the door selling tickets to the Policeman’s ball (they think he is there to arrest them). Father Hargis flips out when he finds out his car is at the bottom of pool. The girls wind up getting “arrested”, and in the meantime they are getting watched through a two way mirror. To teach the girls a lesson (and get one to confess), Coach Lubbock pretends that he is going to jail. Eventually they all confess, and their lesson is learned. GS: Frank Bonner (Father Hargis) Dennis Haysbert (Duane) Sandy Simpson (Officer Petty) Eric Matthew (Mark) (20)The Critic: The episode starts with the news that Connie will be writing a review of the school play (the play is directed by Coach Lubbock) for the school newspaper. Connie has a tough decision to make because she thinks that the play stinks, but she doesn’t want to offend her father. She has a chat with her dad, and writes a horrible review about the play. Elizabeth read the review, and gets enraged at the review she wrote. Then Connie writes a good review of the play. Coach Lubbock reads both reviews, and somehow the bad one gets in the newspaper. Coach Lubbock, doesn’t get offended too much by the review, but is glad that Connie told the truth. GS: Evan Arnold (Gavin Doosler) Bill Stevenson (Whizzer) Jason Horst (Larry) (21)The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: The girls are out to a dance. At the dance Marie meets a guy she’s interested in. When they get home Elizabeth and Coach Graham are watching their favorite show, after “Mr. Belvedere”. LOL! Cindy, Wendy, and Connie tell Marie that she shouldn’t date a dork. Unfortunately, Marie takes their advice. Elizabeth tells Marie a story from her teenage years, and they have a “heart to heart”. Marie makes the right decision and goes on the date. Cindy wants to go out for the radio job, but nobody thinks she can. Cindy got the job, but thinks that she got it only because her father put in a good word for her. Turns out, Coach Lubbock didn’t get around to talking to Father Bud. GS: Lou Richards (Father Harold “Bud” Kimmel) Gabriel Damon (Alex Cutler) Evan Arnold (Gavin Doosler) Carmen Filpi (Charlie) Eric Matthew (Mark) Thomas Wagner (Hank) (23)Puberty Blues: The show starts out with JR trying to pull a prank on the girls. A girl scout then comes selling cookies at their door. JR has a crush this girl, and coaxes her into coming back by buying cookies but not giving her all of the money. Graham tries to give JR tips about how “men like to be in charge”. Then JR decides to go and ask all of his sisters for help with the girls he likes. JR get the courage to invite this girl over for dinner. Throughout the evening Coach is asking Pamela (the “girl scout”) ridiculous questions. Eventually JR gets extremely embarrassed and rushes upstairs, where his date Pamela comes up and works things out. At the end JR and Coach chat about making sacrifices for women. GS: Jenny Lewis (Pamela) (24)Rock and Roll Fantasy: The Lubbock Babes have been singing at the pizza parlor for eight weeks now. They are getting tired of performing in front of a bunch of locals. Each girl dreams about what would happen if they were famous. Connie dreams about singing in Paris, and living the life of a celebrity. Also in Connie’s dream Graham quits his job, Wendy is hospitalized, Cindy turned to drinking, and Marie became a Protestant. Wendy dreams that she preforms in Vegas, and moves onto starring in her own sitcom. Sherry briefly dreams of becoming a Lubbock Babe. Marie dreams of being able to be able to cheer up the Pope by singing for him. Cindy dreams that she marries the perfect husband, and then she has triplets. At the end the Lubbock Babes realize that they never want to quit singing at the pizza parlor.
