Default Your Least Favorite Member of the Evans Family?

I will say Thelma, she was sexy and had that sexy dance with that hip movement but didn't really bring any humor to the show.

Wow, I didn't know we were allowed to write words like that even if there's a * in between. But, if a moderator did it, it must be allowed.

I hate to say it, but my least favorite character was James. His authoritarian way of running the family was just too extreme (and he wasn't even a very good provider). Problematic situations seemed to escalate due to his overreactions and he just seemed to make the household nervous. I mean, it was sad about the character's death and all, but I honestly think the family appeared much calmer without him. When I watch the post-James episodes such as the one about Thelma wanting to marry her African boyfriend, Michael wanting to move in with a White female, or any other conflict, I can only think about how much worse James would have probably made each situation. The producers were in error to create a character like James in the first place. A strong African American male role model does not have to be a Fascist. JMO

When he was mad, it was for a reason.

Bully trying to lay up in his home

Getting laid off

Being told he was too old for a job

His Daughter engaged to a OLD MAN

His Daughter engaged to a guy he didn;t know

School promised his a job after graduation and there was none

His Wife refusing to do a commercial for $5000 because she didn't want to lie

I caN GO ON AND ON

It's not a question of whether he had a right to be angry, it's a question of how he handled his anger.

As for his wife not wanting to lie for $5,000, her instincts turned out to be right because the "medicine" could make a child drunk. Believe it or not, no amount of money is worth selling your soul for.

Well, so far, Florida is the only Evans who wasn't named as someone's least favorite.

I'd say James is my least favorite too. His anger reminded me too much of my "father".

I don't think anyone would say Florida since she was easy to like.

I have to be honest. I liked them all, sometimes equally depending on the episodes. If I were to pick a least favorite it most likely would not be in the Evans family.

James didn't scream in every ep. In season one he was very laid back up until that episode-THE CHECKUP-LOL
