Did anybody else find it weird that Cheers was open during the morning hours? I forget the title of an epiode, but it was the one where Carla makes one of her infamous drinks and the entire group of barflys got blasted. The next morning everyone returned to the bar and ordered coffee.(except Norm of course

I think the resturaunt is the one that used to be open in the morning, so sam decided why not have the bar open too.

I always thought that was strange. Lunch time, ok - but breakfast? Who goes to a bar for breakfast?

I would go to a bar for breakfeast. I never thought it weird because really I've never thought of it.

That episode is called

"It's Lonely at the Top"

And it isnt uncommon for a pub or "Bar and Grill" to be open all day, what is abnormal, is the fact that the same employees work from opening (what is it 8?10?) to close (2, but they have to clean up) 7 days a week

at least that is how their schedules appear to be set, they seem to come and go whenever they want, so I guess that is their time off

I think it made sense for the bar to be open in the morning.... many people work late night shifts, and their 9AM is the "normal man's" 6PM

well you'd be surprised, i work in a bar and people (usually old men) come in and order 3 large whiskys at 10am down them, all with a pint of guinness and eat with an english breakfast on the side

Well in the UK, I guess you have to get an early start since most alcohol establishments close so damn early!

The legal time for a normal pub/bar to close is 11pm, unless your a club.

What time is it in the US?
