Default Seether

My quest to spread the metal continues....

Any Seether fans here? Want to discuss the band and their music?
It's an open forum, I'm waiting for replies (since my Atreyu thread died on it's arse! ).

It's not good, it's AMAZING! And that was when Amy had a raspy throat. I saw em last night...*dies*

Anyways, I like Seether, I think Shaun is ugly as hell, but *shrugs*. I liked their set last night but it was kinda boring. They just kinda stood their and didn't really talk to the audience. Not very good stage prescence. Nothing like Amy...omg...I'm still not over it...*sigh*.

I LOVE SEETHER. Oh my God, don't get me started. I'd die to see these people live.

"Fine Again" is like my anthem.

I know bumping up old threads is frowned upon but I don't care.
I just wondered if anyone here has seen Seether play live?
I've just bought a ticket to see them on their first ever UK tour! They are only playing 3 dates (Manchester, London and Glasgow) and I'm gonna see them at G2 in Glasgow on 17th October.
G2 is a tiny venue - maximum capacity is 350 people. I'm making it my mission to meet the band. Bands who play at G2 and it's slightly bigger next-door neighbour, The Garage, almost always come outside to meet their fans after the gig. I met Jess Margera after the CKY gig at The Garage in December! I also narrowly missed Tim and Aaron from Sugarcult back in June (I will forever regret getting that early cab home ).
Another thing I was wondering is exactly how big are Seether in the U.S.? I know they are much more popular in America than they are here. They haven't even released any singles here yet - just 'Disclaimer II' which, up untill now, they hadn't even done any promotion for. I guess Seether playing a tiny 350-capacity venue just inches away from the fans in the crowd would be totally unheard of in America.
Sucks to be you guys, huh?!

Isn't "Seether" a song by Veruca Salt?

I almost saw them live. But then the concert was cancelled and by the time it was rescheduled, they weren't playing anymore. I know in the US they aren't headlining. They're opening for Evanscence.

I saw them live at the Evanescence concert. I think they're a great band, I really like their music, however I found their set to be the most boring set I've ever seen. Shaun just kinda stood there, at a microphone, in the middle of the stage...just...standing...no movement except the strumming of the guitar and occasionally to brush that gross gross hair of his out of the way. He didn't even address the crowd either until like the 5th song in. I honestly was not impressed. I thought that they had the potential to put on a really really incredible show, but *shrugs*. You're more into them however, and I think it's safe to assume that you're more famaliar with the lyrics and stuff so you'll prolly be more into it then I got, but yea.

To answer your question about the promo in America, I had never heard of them until they released the song "Broken" with Amy Lee, and since I'm an Evanescence fan...

But no, they don't get much promo in the US
