Is worth the price it costs. You get to blow the picture up in close up and get so much more detail. Like of them leaving Hawaii. You can plainly see in close up that the opening credits contain the original three actors playing Professor, Ginger, and Bunny standing on board deck.
And you can see closeup shots of the island out at sea. You get a lot more detailed look this way. It looks different close-up.

One distant shot of the island that they always use looks like it has about 20 trees on it. Then you you see hundreds in the close ups.

Yeah, Steve. I used to think the closing shot of the island in season one was a fake. But on closer DVD inspection it turns out to be a real island.

Looking forward to season three DVD as Gilligan while, in the jet pack flying, I'd like to see a close up of the actual person in the jet pack doing the flying.
